This bottle makes excellent seltzer, but buyers should note that the bottle I received is not the deep gloss red shown in the image. I found it to be coated in a thin layer of latex (which I found to be a good thing) to prevent any kind of contamination The red color has a smooth matte finish, like a salmon rose rather than a true fire engine red. Since I'm one of those people who care more about function than fashion, I won't bother returning it to Amazon. Had I seen the actual color on the shelf of my local kitchen supply store, I probably wouldn't have purchased it.
I am very pleased with this product! As long as I followed the instructions in other reviews, I was able to make soda without a problem. Only one reason I didn't give it five stars was that there wasn't enough room for My wife and I can both get about four beverages out of one bottle, which is fine for me, but now that I am making cherry sodas for her, I don't have enough to mix for us. If I had made the extra investment, I would have got a much larger one!.

Although reading the description seems like a good idea, I discovered that it is far more expensive than buying carbonated seltzer cans, and it barely carbonates the first glass before I am stuck with it since the return window closed four days ago.
