Fits uKeg at a reasonable price
4/5

For my uKeg 64, I purchased this item. The Mr Fizz on the left is from Mr Fizz, and the Growler Werks on the right is from Growler Werks. It's possible that the Growler Werks one is a millimeter longer. Some of the other reviewers thought they'd be too long, but they're just right.

It's just as good as the "name brand" version
5/5

So I make a lot of adult beverages with seltzer, and I'm trying to avoid soda in favor of carbonated water. You'd think that using a soda siphon would save money, but these little chargers add up quickly, especially if you're like me and charge your water twice. These chargers, thankfully, work just as well as the "name brand" chargers that the instructions recommend as the only ones to use. They fit the same and give me the same amount of fizz, but at a much lower price, so I'm very pleased with this purchase.

These were purchased for the purpose of making seltzer
3/5

The flavor wasn't great, but it wasn't as bad as some other brands. These were purchased for the purpose of making seltzer. It's not something you should buy. It took too much effort, and I only used it for a short time with a variety of CO2 cartridges from different brands. The cheaper ones taste like machine oil, while the "GOLD" ones are exorbitantly priced. This brand's taste was not as bad, but some of them taste strange. Keeping it full, having cold seltzer, it can taste bad with cheap cartridges, made me feel like I was working full time. There's a lot of trash to sort through. 12 oz. seltzer is available for purchase. Instead, use cans. Less recycling is the same way.

There was an odorous orange oil in several of the canisters! Before placing my order, I should have read all of the negative reviews
3/5

br>br>I'd been using my first box, and my second and third canisters sprayed a bright orange liquid into the water. When it happened the first time, I noticed it tasted strange, but I assumed it was just my imagination. When the fourth canister returned to normal taste, I knew there had been a problem with the previous canisters. When I opened the bottle of seltzer, I noticed orange oily deposits in several places. I cleaned everything with hot soapy water, put the first box of canisters aside, and am now using the second box and hoping for the best. br>br>I'm guessing the problem was some tool oil spilled in the works at the factory. I attribute this to minimum-wage workers who are incapable of paying attention to, much less taking pride in, their work. I suppose this is what we get for always wanting the best deal on everything. Sigh.

Unpredictable
3/5

In terms of producing good seltzer, these are consistently inconsistent. They don't always produce carbon dioxide. It doesn't always last as long as it should. The cartridge had just blown out a few moments ago - I had to use a new cartridge because there was no carbonation. This, thankfully, was successful. br>As I previously stated, inconsistency. br>MOSA cartridges are the best, but they don't seem to have any these days. Also, [ten years of experience with various bottles and chargers] make sure everything is ice cold. a water bottle and some water,br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>b.

Packaging has been updated
5/5

We placed an order with this company several years ago because we had purchased so many of these cartridges. I only ordered 40 pieces this time. The small boxes of ten cartridges in which they are packaged appear to be from a different company, but they are from the same one. The cartridges are the same exact size as the ones from the previous order. I haven't had the opportunity to use one. Only 4 stars right now because I don't think these are cheap, but I suppose having the option to make your own seltzer instead of buying individual bottles is worth it.

Yes, they work with uKeg to some extent if you put in the effort
3/5

If you're not careful, the Seltzer Chargers will vent while you're installing them, in my experience. I got them to work by carefully screwing them in until they were about to vent (a black art), then quickly screwing them in the rest of the way. So, yes, they do work in some ways. In terms of size, they're identical to Growlerworks'. As you can see in the photo, they are actually just a fraction of a millimeter shorter. I bought the GrowlerWorks brand, and while they work better, you still need to "develop the skill" of installing them as described above to avoid any venting. br>br>I gave them three stars overall due to the uKeg installation issues, and one star for ease of use in that use case. They're probably fine for a variety of other uses.

Carbon Dioxide Cylinders with a Shiny Finish
5/5

CO2 cylinders in a box of ten nifty little cylinders. br>br>I'm not sure why I was expecting this to come in a single large box of 40, but I'm glad it didn't. Individual boxes make it much easier to store and access these. These are what I bought to power a Hamilton Beach Fizzini liquid carbonator, and they work great. I'd prefer that the pressure standards on these aluminum cylinders allowed for more CO2 to be pumped into them, but that's life. br>br>These appear to have the standard amount in them. They're exactly what I expected, and I'll order them again unless the price goes up.
