Yes, they can be washed in the dishwasher. It's not quite as good as a silver cup, but it'll do for now.
Because of the hammered texture, I don't believe they can.
It's "stainless steel" with a gleaming hammered finish. Mine have stickers on them that say they're made in India. They're on a silver tray, but you can tell they're not plated in silver right away. However, if they weren't mixed in with genuine silver, you might not notice them right away. Although the ones I received were of poor quality, they were still attractive as a decorative item.

After one wash, it appears to be flaking off; it is not stainless steel, but rather appears to be a regular metal underneath that has been plated to look like stainless steel. br>br>I wouldn't drink out of this or have any kind of food contact with it, so I'll be returning mine.
