Questions & Answers
All Wusthof kitchen shears are made in China, according to the company's website.
They are very useful for cutting any type of chicken bone, so I use them all the time. During the process of cutting a chicken, everything is removed.
The three of these I ordered have now been delivered. The numbers are all There was one notch on the box, but there were three on the box and one on the other. In all three, the notch could be seen in the box. If you order the 5559, I suspect it is an older version, but you do not appear to have the option of choosing when to order it.
The kitchen scissors on this shelf are my favorite because I have fairly small hands and fingers. This is my favorite trait of these towels, because they are easily removable and can be washed.

It appeared from reading the questions that some people asked whether or not they were There was some agreement, some disagreement. They are described (twice) as German in the item description. In any case, the sweet is definitively the best. It is made in China (see the bottom left of the attached image). It is misleading to describe the item in BS.
Here are some pros The following are the first two points Their sharpness is evident. The second type of item is 2. It is easy to clean them since they are easily detachable. The third point is There is no doubt that the steel is strong. There are some cons to this The following are the first two points A child or an adult with small hands can put their hands through the holes on the handle. You may find it difficult to hold on to them if you have large hands You dig into your knuckles when you use them, and they're painful. The second type of item is 2. In this pair of scissors, opening them more than 45 degrees results in them coming apart. Despite simple handling, I have had to disassemble them several times since Ive had them a few minutes ago. While Wusthof is a fine brand, this set of scissors do not meet my standards. The following edits have been made to the above sentence To return these items to the seller, I had to pay $7 for shipping. Keeping them costs $13, so keeping them is an opportunity cost. There is no reason to spend $13 on these scissors. The following are a few tips on how to succeed Make sure that the seller has a return policy. When I returned my purchase, the seller (which wasn't Amazon) ripped me off.
It was incredibly Wusthof is a fine brand, but these are not of German origin, they are simply Chinese knockoffs. ****Handles are different than shown on the Amazon web site. Hole are sized for an adult's hand, not a child's. These scissors are definitely not something anyone should be buying. What a shame.
In our opinion, this product is inferior to the one that was sold under the same model number previously. It was in 2011 that I purchased the first one. I recently discovered that my house sitter lost these items while I was on vacation. In light of this, I am Added the same model number to the order. It is evident that they are inferior to them The quality of their work has deteriorated to the point that It is just a matter of finding the old one and showing comparison images. This older knife has a much better blade, and a notch that can be useful for beginning cuts. The blade itself is much better - no rust, no chipping, nothing - it's great! I use them to cut through much thicker bones and rawhide.
I use them for two different kinds of work Chickens and dog hides are cut when chickens are cut. With the new model, both are difficult to impossible. A side by side comparison of the rawhides is easy. It is barely possible to cut the thinnest ones with these. Several of the old ones could penetrate medium thickness materials with no problem. They are almost useless for the most common purposes I have in mind. The don't cut through breastbones or backbones well, and if I have to use a butcher's knife, then I have to use 4 inch blades This is pointless, what's the point?.
The reviews before I bought these shears convinced me to buy them. There are people who say they come apart too easily, but I thought they were being There was definitely an error on my part. There is far too much fragility in these. The truth is, now I'm afraid of them rather than just annoyed by Yesterday, I was going to use them to cut some tape, but they fell apart, and the tip went through my finger and cut As far as I can tell, they are very sharp. The purchase was terrible and I regret it.
I like how strong, strong and sturdy it feels, how nice it feels in my hands, how balanced the weight is - neither too light nor too heavy - and how reliably sharp it is. In addition, it is incredibly easy to clean once it is opened 90 degrees, and each separate section can be cleaned. Any person who says that these scissors come apart too easily must be doing something extremely stupid! I can't imagine what you're doing to make this happen -- The relationship was never even close to breaking apart unless I really wanted it. The product was of good quality and the price was great. I would highly recommend it!.
The only issue with this product is that after awhile the plastic thing that holds them together snaps, and cannot be fixed. An easy solution would be to use a metal screw to resolve this problem.
We like using it for the following applications Cut raw pork ribs into more manageable sizes for our pots (we like them slow-cooked! The food we serve for our children is chopped before it is served Our recipes are enhanced by cutting herbs directly into them. I was amazed at the sharpness and the strength of their blades. Their ability to come apart makes washing them in the dishwasher so much easier. I expect that rubber to hold up and not begin to disintegrate years later as it did with another pair we had previously. It never ceases to amaze me how sticky plastic gets as it ages!.
