These shears work very well as shears - don't forget to use the safety guard. The sharp edges are perfect for cutting off the ends of plastic bags the length and weight are perfect for chopping up produce and they can separate chickens from each other. A drop of vegetable oil can be poured into a joint to prevent rust. However, the kind that separates may come apart when you don't want them to. In the end, it comes down to personal taste.

These scissors are awesome. The hardest part about keeping it out of the drawer is not putting it away after use. Very sharp, gives you a bottle opener as well as cracking nuts. Purchasing this item was a great decision!.
