Kikkerland Toucan Kitchen Shears

Please don't buy this item and don't offer it as a gift either. The scissors I lost broke my heart. The toucan bill (scissor sheath) felt so cute when first I saw it, but after a few months of use, the print in the toucan bill In an effort to receive a replacement, I contacted the company, but was told that since I did not purchase it directly from Kikkerland (I bought it In them) a replacement wouldn't be sent. This is lame. In the future, I will not purchase another product from Kikkerland.

Despite the fact that the scissors are, so far, in good working condition, the toucan part unfortunately is not. It took only a few weeks for the colors to bleed. When I first saw the color on the towel, I thought it was some kind of dust. But with a simple wipe with a paper towel, the color was transferred. It is not a product I would recommend.

Cut along the grain rather than The paint on the cover is already bleeding. It's cute, but they're not as sharp as they could be. It can be frustrating to use them because they don't cut smoothly. The paint on the toucan cover began to bleed and rub off the moment the first drop of water touched it. I'm very disappointed because these are so not worth the money. I gave them 2 stars because they are functional, but almost.

Their biggest advantage is that they have magnets on the back, so I can stick them on the front of my dishwasher, where I can always find a pair of scissors when I'm in the kitchen (with kids, things disappear all the time).

Although I had to give them away, these scissors are still very helpful for me. The scissors have certainly worn out quickly, and I will need to find a way to sharpen them since after a few months of moderate use they don't cut as well. Additionally, I wish there was a way to get the scissors out of the holder without taking the whole unit out of the fridge first, but there's no way to do that. To remove the scissors from the fridge, or to get them out of the sheath, you need two hands, which is less than convenient for me since I wanted them to be able to be accessed.

Unfortunately, I am unable to return them at this time, so I am attempting to alert It is super cute, but the blue button broke off when no one was around to use it. There are a few times when I need to pop it back in, but it does not stay in place. There were fewer than a dozen occasions when we used them. Surely I have a right to a refund!.

I am very sad when I read this updated review. The original review still holds some value despite what is below - The colorful pieces smudged and bled after some months and the blue piece popped off, which I couldn't glue back on. The rest of them are still in great working order, however, many of them are cosmetically ruined over the years. Voici some advice If one gets a new set, coat it with a clear nail polish or spray with acrylic finishing spray (if you have it) to keep it protected. My aesthetic sense is affected by aesthetics. These are my most important values, so compromising them Having a strong magnet on the back allows you to just hang it on your fridge, which is very convenient for keeping the scissors in a handy spot. I'll be able to keep these scissors on the side of my refrigerator. Being able to keep track of these when you're at home will literally change your life! Their attractive appearance and easy maintenance make them absolutely perfect in every way. You came up with some great design ideas! Every person I know is going to get a pair from me.
