Questions & Answers

How long do these knives measure in total?

The total length is eight and a half inches."

China is where these are produced. Victornox is a Swiss company that makes knock-offs. ?

China is listed as the place of origin. It's all a ruse. They don't advertise it anywhere, and they won't give you a straight answer either.

Do these resemble a utility knife in any way?

I'm not sure how good their utility knife is, but these are fantastic. This is the first knife I reach for, having owned a set for over 20 years and recently purchasing a new set.

Is it possible to put them in the dishwasher?

I only use regular dish soap to wash these by hand. I believe they can be washed in the dishwasher.

Sharp
4/5

Design that is sanitary. Yes, they're light, and the handles appear to be cheap, but once you understand why they're made this way, you'll appreciate them. Personally, I prefer the molded-in one-piece design. on handles made of plastic There are no crevices or cracks to harbor bacteria, and they're dishwasher safe, making this a very sanitary design. They're razor-sharp and last a long time thanks to a good stainless steel alloy, but after a lot of use, they'll dull. I've tried sharpening them, but the steel is extremely hard, so I just buy a new set every now and then because the price on Amazon is so good. The packaging, in my opinion, is the only drawback. I've never seen such dangerous items shipped with such a disregard for the safety of those handling the package. These knives are packaged in a simple bubble envelope with a sticker on both sides of the blades. I think the packaging is both cheesy and dangerous. In my opinion, a simple flat box would provide better protection and presentation.

The knives are outstanding
5/5

Victorinox is the most affordable Western-style knife on the market. Without a doubt, the best-looking knives in the industry. If you're a fan of Western movies, Knives of various styles (mild belly, double-bladed) are available. They're the best bang for your buck out there, in my opinion. This is no exception when it comes to steak knives. br>br>Quality when it matters. These knives are made of low-cost materials. Although the handles appear to be made of plastic, they are textured and provide a secure grip. They're also extremely hygienic. You're free to do whatever you want with them. They won't harbor bacteria in the same way that wood might. The money saved on the handle is used to pay for more important things. At the end of the day, it's the quality of the steel that counts. Overall, the knife is light but strong, as well as affordable and sharp. It's ideal for anyone who is primarily interested in obtaining a low-cost, dependable set of steak knives. br>br>I'm concerned that many of the negative reviews I'm seeing right now are from people who bought from knockoff resellers, which are becoming increasingly common. Make sure you buy a genuine Amazon product, or at the very least keep your packaging in case you need to return it. My most recent two purchases were identical in terms of product and quality to the Victorinox chef knife I've been using for the past few months. I'm not sure what I'm saying. 6 years? I'd need to look into my previous orders. I've been doing it for a long time and have never had a problem. I recently purchased the 10" chef knife and the steak knives, and they are of identical quality to the originals.

Cutco gal in the past
5/5

Many years ago, I married a Cutco salesman! I wanted to replace a few of our knives after losing a few, but the cost was too high! I took a chance and tried this brand, and I've never been happier! We already own a large butcher knife, and we recently purchased this Victorinox collection of small knives. They're unique, but in my opinion, they're just as good as Cutco. They're a tad softer, but they're razor-sharp. It was well worth the money!.

Arrived in good condition
3/5

I have not yet tried these knives, but the box in which they were packaged was opened, and there were signs that they had been used (dried food on one of the knives). I'll give them a try, and if I like them, I'll ask for a trade for new knives. I'll write a follow-up review later.

You've found it
5/5

This is the third time I've purchased these knives. They are the best; my chef daughter told me that if she could only have one knife, it would be this one. I use them for kitchen prep, cutting bread, chopping onions and tomatoes, chopping salad greens, and trimming fat from meat. I don't even use them as steak knives because I have more expensive ones, but they are my first choice. I originally purchased the large set, which included a chopping block and eight steak knives, but they vanished over time and I had to replace them. I've had a variety of knives, including Cutco knives that cost over a grand, and while they're sharp, they're not as balanced as Victorinox knives, and they don't do prep work as well or feel as good in the hand.

SUPER nimble
5/5

Don't let the light fool you. These knives are quite heavy. They may not appear to be much in the hand, but they cut through anything like butter. Because the serrated blade is symmetric, it cuts straight down by default (unlike blades that are flat on one side and angled on the other, which cut at an angle by default). Yes, they're great for steak, but I've also used them to prepare fruit, vegetables, and other foods.

Excellent steak knives at a reasonable price! I bought this set of steak knives about a year ago, and they've been fantastic in every way: they're light, have plastic handles, and are razor sharp, cutting meat and other items with ease
5/5

My teen cut her finger on one the other day while cutting steak, so the sharpness is long-lasting, and you must be careful when using or allowing children to use them. We've put these through the dishwasher several times and they're still as good as new, with no rust. I wouldn't call them "high end" looking, though, because of the plastic handle. These, on the other hand, are an excellent set of everyday steak knives. These knives would also be a wonderful housewarming present. Highly, highly recommended for excellent quality and value at a reasonable price! Please leave a comment below if you found this review useful.

This is a classic steak set
5/5

This classic steak knife arrived in its original sealed packaging, and it was shipped and delivered quickly. Victorinox steak knives have always been a favorite of mine; the first one was given to me by a friend who had traveled to Europe and purchased a set for a very low price several decades ago. These knives don't break or dull easily; the only time you'll need to replace them is if one goes missing. ) They don't appear to be particularly attractive, and many people are skeptical that they will last long, but after giving them a try, they always want to take one home with them. br>I use these knives for all of my food prep, not just steaks. There is a difference between the Swiss Classic Gourmet Steak Knife and the similar set with fibrox ergonomic handle (called Swiss Classic Gourmet Steak Knife), so pay attention when ordering (those are more expensive). The handles on this set are a little shorter, thinner, and less expensive than the ones on the previous set. looking and aren't as comfortable to use on a regular basis, but the blades appear to be the same, sharp, and long-lasting. Both have a long lifespan. For a comparison, look at the photos I've taken. For most everyday cooking, the thicker handle with groove (gourmet version) is more comfortable, but I use both types interchangeably. Definitely a good investment!.
