A set of knives to replace the ones we had been using for years was on our shopping list. I found this set to be great and it delivered on all my expectations. I like the knife's construction and the wooden handles feel good in my hands. In regards to the blade itself, it is quite sharp and despite being unserrated, it is still sharp enough to work well for food cutting. It was also great to receive these knives in such a pretty box. Due to their beautifully displayed appearance, the knives could easily be given as a gift to someone else. As far as I was concerned, the knives themselves worked as expected. It was important for me to have knives that could handle the food that I was eating and these worked perfect! It all depends All in all, I am pleased with what I've seen so.

A mirror-like finish and razor-sharp edge make these knives stand out from the crowd. The rose wood handles that I purchased were buffed out with 4o steel wool then waxed, bringing out the color and figure of the wood very well. These pair of shoes look like they would cost three times more. The purchase of a serrated steak knife has become virtually impossible to find at a reasonable price. When was the last time you saw a chef using a serrated knife? I was very satisfied.

As soon as I purchased them, I realized that they were not French The idea was to make Laguiole's (I know it's not a requirement but bear with me. . . ) knives but wanted to put them through the paces. This is how quick and dirty it is It's all a bit off when it comes to build quality. In comparison, most of the knives had a very poor cutting edge due to unfinished edges and sorts of sharp edges. On one of the knives, the welds along the hilt were very visible and had not been ground down. Though it's not all bad, here are some bright spots Even though the wood was rotten, it looked nice They were well-fitting and the blades were quite thick, even though they were made of substandard steel This steel is of a poor quality. The bottom line I've never done a return quite like this one before. Sometimes you see a price that's too good to be true The answer is yes.

These knives are beautiful and come in a great package. I noticed after using the "bee" three times that the wood had turned a sickly, almost railroad tie color, even with treatment, and that the fancywork around the bee It has been a few months since I have had them, and the blades have started to rust. When you don't have cash and are in a bind, this is the best option. They keep their edge pretty well, and they cut meat a bit well, but they don't last as long as they could.

Those knives are beautiful, but that's what they are and will remain so for only a short time. As if they didn't rust, they do. My mistake was to put them on the shelf and then try them out days later and they were RUSTY. It was still used by my husband. The metal part in the handle between the fingers also needs to be polished after he washed it and dried it. When I picked it up a day later, rust had developed. I hate this. Please do not purchase! It makes no sense for them to stay. So I will request they be returned.

Our kitchen has been in need of new regular steak knives for the last few years, but we could not find what we were looking for because there were so many steak knives available. Truth be told, the design of these knives, followed by their many positive reviews, was what finally prompted me to order. One set was purchased for the holidays, then another was soon purchased after we had a few attempts with it. Hand washing and drying of these knives are done by us. It is absolutely amazing how well these knives work. When cutting, you rest your finger tip on a spot that is sharp and has a spot for you to rest it on.
