Bread that is crusty won't go well with this knife. The purpose of buying it was to cut my sourdough bread. As for you, it just sits on the crust, and all it does is leave a scratch. It's impossible to get a good slice when you force it through because the blade flexes and bends.
The only items it has been used on are roast meats, ham, bread, and angel food cake, all of which it has cut through without difficulty
You can use it to cut meat, not for cutting.

I doubt anyone would be happy with this knife. There is a ridiculous amount of fat and a disappointing amount of weight. Many years ago, I had a knife similar to this one, which I loved. My knowledge of the subject enables me to communicate. Attempting to cut a loaf of fresh (just-baked) French bread left my hands feeling exhausted after two slices. grasps the knife and the other grasps )
In addition * I found that the blades were much shorter than my previous one, so they did not even reach all the way through the bread slicing guide. Even There was a smell of hot plastic/overheating motor after eating two slices of toasted and buttered French bread, which lessened the pleasure of eating it. Please also note In this case, the teeth didn't seem to be What does this feature do for you? Since the knives would not cut through the crust, I set them aside and used my regular knife instead With an electric serrated bread knife, it is easy and quick to slice the same loaf of bread. It's not the bread that's causing the problem! It's not worth it to me to return The ridiculously poorly designed piece of engineering does not deserve another moment of my time and I will throw it right out. I did give it one star because some people might find it useful when making soft breads like banana bread or carrot It smelled too off to me and I couldn't stand it I put it.
In a nutshell, Since I make my own sourdough bread, and my kids mutilated it trying to cut it themselves with dull knives, I now eat my own sourdough bread. Considering that I was unable to chew through thick bread crusts, I decided to buy something that could do the job. Well, as it turns out, this was not the answer. I tried using it on some fresh sourdough bread this morning, and it could barely make it through the crust. I tried cutting another slice on camera, and the knife started stalling (see video attachment). It appears to be standard compared to other electric knives I have used. After that, my kitchen filled with a terrible burning plastic smell and the motor started smoking. I have the electric knife outside on my porch, and I'm going to mail it back to you right now. The product does not even cut through bread! I am not sure if I just got a defective item, but I would not recommend this product! It would be great if you could mark this review as helpful if it helped you make an informed purchase.
While the foam in this is a bit tougher than a Thanksgiving turkey, it is nice to know that you can slice your tough old bird with this just like you do a sweet potato.
In a nutshell, Despite being very effective, using it for longer than the length of time it would be necessary to carve a turkey does cause the knife to get pretty hot. My experience with it was positive I used it to cut a foam mattress.
In the past, I have used it for cutting foam material for a project. A year of back-burner work was required before the project could be resumed. My turkey was cooked at Thanksgiving and I used it to make my dressing. The deli slices were so easy to prepare that I was surprised at how easy it was. My next use was to slice tuna, salami, and pepperoni with the knife. It came to me in a drunken stroke of brilliance the other day (after allowing the meat to rest, of course) that it was useful for slicing a beautiful steak. Slicing of medium-size fruits and vegetables of a restaurant quality There's no better way to please a crowd than with cooked steak. doesn't everyone have a kitchen with one of these in it?.
Worked like a charm for me.
My review is similar to other reviews in the sense that I purchased this for the sole purpose of cutting foam, and the function is a success. My only gripe is that the blades are not sharp enough (or fine enough), but considering how easy it works and the price you pay, it is a minor flaw. It is also pretty quiet when compared to other electric cutters I have seen on YouTube, so that is another advantage. Since the motor gets hot if you use it for more than a few minutes at a time, you must be careful not to overheat the blade. If you are purchasing this for solely the purpose of DIY'ers who need to make upholstery cuts or work with foam, we highly recommend this.
It's been about a year now that I've been baking my own bread. A bread slicer is what I use to slice my bread - they cut the bread evenly Better than a bread knife, the Proctor Silex is more than adequate for the The user is able to control what they're doing with the proper movement they're used to. There have been other slicers that were a bit too slow in back and forth motion, causing me to go off course and end up with a slice of bread that is While this would not be as concerning when it comes to a loaf of bread, it becomes extremely problematic when it comes to baloney. * The knife is a good size and the price is reasonable.
