Selected User Reviews For Shun Classic Blonde 7” Santoku Knife, Blonde PakkaWood Handle, Full Tang VG-MAX Blade
I have little kitchen space and wanted a good knife that was versatile and of high quality. This is the kind of knife that meets this requirement. It is more difficult to store it than to get A quality knife shouldn't just be put in a drawer without being protected. This company should be ashamed for failing to include a sheath and/or storage container. Further, this is not a gift that is appropriate. There is no presentation and it comes in a crappy cardboard box.
I like the weight of these sneakers and don't feel cumbersome at all when I wear them. A nice feature about this santoku is its height and balance, making it ideal for cutting A blonde wood and peach color combination is also one of my favorites. The classic black looks even better. I enjoy mixing and matching brands and styles, and there are tons of quality brands and styles out there. Despite this, I am very tempted to simply purchase Would love to see the steel age and patina as time goes on.
This knife is the same as the regular Shun Santoku. In addition, they are well known for the quality of their products. In addition to the black color, the blonde color is nice as it adds a little more vibrancy to it. The left side of my body is dominant A quick test shows it works well, and it's both left- and right-handed In terms of the handle, there isn't all that much difference between using your right hand and your left. However, it definitely stands out in terms of weight and balance. Someone looking to enter the higher end knives market would definitely be wise to take a look at this knife. There is definitely more value in this knife than the average 20-dollar knife, but there is also plenty of room above that for a truly awesome knife like the Miyabi, which I think I will one day own. Before I can get them, I need to earn them.
As a high school student, I am excited about this opportunity The blade featured Damascus steel texture with a gorgeous blonde handle (far superior to plastic handles). I was extremely pleased with it overall, especially the color. The Santoku shape indicates that it works well for an astronomical up-close view (round blades are more of a rocking motion while down chopping motion is more like down chopping). It is a bit different technique and takes some time to get used to after having used a chef's knife up to this point. In comparison with my other knives, this knife is highly sharp and the steel is noticeably harder. Hopefully this will mean it will maintain its edge longer, but Shun's sharpening services are also free, so I need not worry too much about it while keeping it in pristine condition. The knife works very well for cutting vegetables - As soon as I used it, I diced some onions and was pleasantly surprised by how easy and smooth it was to use. ergonomics and handle are great, feels very comfortable in the hand. The handle actually can be used by either hand, but I guess it's designed for either right or left handed people such as myself (because it fits many people comfortably that way). You might want to watch out for this if you are left handed, as it might fit kind of awkwardly and may be better to use a knife that is symmetrical.
The handle has a mildly unpleasant smell, I don't sniff my knife that often, so it's not that big of a deal, but it should be noted. As time goes by, I'm hoping it will disappear.
g. , It is pleasing to the eye). Just looking at it would be enough for me to purchase another one. It never ceases to amaze me how amazing aesthetics are. Despite the Damascus steel appearance of the blade as well as the contours and color of the handle, everything looks seamless and well put together. As someone who has traveled to Japan several times and seen first-hand its love of aesthetics, I found this knife to be quite fitting. Making me want to use it more often is one of the best things about it. Out of the box, the Blade is terrifyingly sharp. If you want to store the knife vertically in a bamboo knife block, the heel of the blade and bolster extend further from the handle so that no part of the blade heel is exposed.
I worked in the food service industry for decades and used a lot of So far, my favorite is this one. Navigates through food without a problem. This is a very satisfying product It feels a little strange in my hand, but it is a superb tool for chopping and slicing. I will be very pleased if it turns out to be a durable and long lasting knife without dents, chips, or rust. It will stay.
It is sharp and holds an edge for a long time. This knife is amazing. It is expensive, yes, but it is worth the money. You will make sure your grandchildren can enjoy it if you take good care of it.
Bought it as a gift for my daughter, and.
