When it comes to cutlery, stainless steel does not have a universal grading. Babish knives are one of the best in the world. This German steel has the AISI 4116 designation. Can I use the clef knife in the same way that I use a chef or a Santoku?

The question is a good one! In addition to combining the precision of a chef's knife with the utility of a cleaver, the Clef knife boasts a powerfully tapered edge and a wide surface area for scooping up freshly prepared foods. Prepare the ingredients by chopping them.

There is no steel listed, but the quality is questionable
3/5

In case they are unaware, they don't list the steel of his knives anywhere I can find (alloy steel and stainless steel don't mean anything, since there are many alloys, and most are stainless steel). The edge retention and toughness indicate that they are probably rather low quality. Maybe not in terms of design, but definitely in terms of edge retention. It doesn't mean I'm going to buy a crappy knife even if it has the Babish logo. You should advertise your good knife steel, it's something you should be proud of. It won't be something you hide, it'll be something you'll be proud of. Approximately one million tons of steel have been manufactured by the manufacturer. A weapon known as the 416 German is said to be equivalent to the Neither I nor anyone I know has ever dealt I do not like 4116, but I enjoy 420HC for kitchen knives. It is a cheap steel, works well to sharpen, is rust proof, and will almost never break on you (unless you are doing something wrong in the kitchen). For good edge retention steels, hardening is usually done to 57 HRC, normally due to its higher creep strength For kitchen knives, 4116 is equivalent to 420HC, a very soft steel that will quickly dull and not be worth the money spent for it. Therefore, 4116 is not a good steel for snobs or those looking for a cook's knife.

The steel is of good quality and known
5/5

When opening the box and lifting the soft foam cover off the blade for the first time, I was genuinely surprised by how well this thing works. Honestly, I expected it to be pretty meh, but honestly, this thing is great, like really great for the price. I was pleasantly surprised at how well balanced it was and the fact that the blade comes from a known steel 1. It cuts vegetables and other things wafer thin without being too painful. The stainless steel 4116 is available in two finishes. Besides a few other major makers in the pocket knife world, there are a number of knives with expensive blades made with the same If I take good care of it and maintain it a little, I am sure that it will last me for years to come. I am very pleased with the design of the knife. A santoku blade shape is limited, but the handle has a fantastic feeling when you first grasp it, and it balances perfectly when you hold it.

Awaiting the book was worth it! Having been raised as a basketball fan, my excitement over this knife was hard to contain
5/5

Both its looks and its usefulness make this knife an excellent choice. The movie definitely lived up to its My hand feels balanced when holding it, and it is surprisingly light in weight. As I used it to cut a tomato and some grocery store French bread, it sliced through them as if they were This knife is extremely sharp right out of the box (Andrew isn't kidding) so treat it with care. As far as mishaps go, I have not had any unfortunate ones, however, I was especially nervous when my children watched me cut the bread closely.

I love the way it feels and looks

It is beautiful to look at these knives. Those pants passed the magazine test effortlessly, and they look and feel just as good as they do. Package design was really well thought out by Babish, as you could tell how much care was put into these. These knives are very similar in appearance and performance to my Shun Premier and Classic knives that cost over $100, but at a fraction of the price!.

Here comes my new favorite
5/5

You're no match. We offer a wide range of This knife has a lot of heft and heft exceeds our Wusthof knives that have been around for a few years. We have Wusthof knives that will last for years, but this knife that's 20% of the price has a lot I like how well it is made and how heavy it is. It does not appear that the factory edge is too I am not a professional chef, but I have enjoyed using this device as a basic home cook and look forward to doing it again for dinner tonight! As well as the presentation, it was very well done. There was no doubt that the packaging was store ready and the delivery time was impressive. That's more of an Amazon pro, yet.

This is a difficult decision for me
3/5

So overall, this knife set is of high quality and is at an affordable price. The knives are sharp and have done an amazing job. My santoku knife, however, does not have a flat tip, which worries me a little. When it was delivered, it looked like that. I asked the manufacturer if that was normal, but the manufacturer answered by giving me a description of a santoku knife instead of a standard I'll try to be better in the future. It's been put. The purchase was not a mistake and we would recommend it to others (with caution).

Great knife! I'm very impressed with it
5/5

When I found out Babish was selling his own cooking line, I felt like jumping at the chance. Actually, I didn't want to lie. I have been a fan for a long time and learned so much from him. That was the best thing I could have done. Due to the fact that this blade has a full tang, this clef knife has excellent weight to it. This knife is a little heavier than a regular knife, but not too much. In addition, the knife is extremely balanced, landing directly in the center so that it is neither front nor back heavy, which gives the user more control over Aside from the blade being extremely sharp, the handle appears to be sanded and polished so that no sharp edges in the metal area can be seen between the metal and, I assume, As a bonus, I appreciate the fact that this blade doesn't have a built-in "guard" at the very back of the blade, as this allows me to sharpen it a lot There is only one complaint I have, and that is that it did not come with a sheath so I could better protect the blade, but for the price I paid, this knife was If you maintain this knife well, you can probably expect it to last you a long, long time! I'm looking forward to cutting and cooking with this knife. Thank you for all you do, and I wish you much success as you move on into.
