It cannot be if the knife is genuine Japanese because they are for the right hand only and a 50/50 edge can be used for both. There are hundreds of different types of Japanese knives with some having as many as 100 blades. It might even be in the 90s or even at 20

Despite the simplicity of the packaging, my cutlery arrived in an elegant manner I regret purchasing the version without a saya (sheath). I will get to the knife, so let me tell you about it!
This knife arrived very sharp and after a quick wash and it was ready to use. It is a gyuto, or general purpose knife, but due to its heft and weight I use it primarily for meats, although the occasional vegetable shows up when I am too lazy to grab Make sure not to use the product on any bones. As the blade material and profile do not lend themselves to that application. This is a very nice blade that has a high carbon steel that holds it's edge for a very long time with very little maintenance. As I got more and more accustomed to it by switching from western knives, I found the shape and the bevel on this knife to be very pleasing. This knife has a great handle, as I typically like the Asian rounded handles. Please remember to apply oil to the blade after each wash as it will rust if not. If you use it on fruit it may patina quickly.

I would recommend it without hesitation. There is a 10 in my order. The 5" blade seemed to be a little too long at first, but it is perfect as a daily chefs knife. I also like the way the spine near the handle is a little thicker for extra stability. I think this is a very balanced unit. It feels light and nimble, and it is very sharp. Whether you are on the fence or not, it is worth the $300. In addition, I am also based in Los Angeles and therefore close to the Beverly Hills store, so my knife was delivered to me in less than 24 hours after ordering In spite of the fact that this may be out of the norm, it illustrates how dedicated they are to their customers and to servicing their needs. That gives me comfort that they will be able to help me to preserve this knife.

I really like how it is sharp and good. Knives from Japan have always been a favorite of mine. In my opinion, German knives rank second in terms of favorite knives. The best knives in my opinion are Japanese knives and German knives. I have been using knives since I was twelve years old. Thanks for the advice my father gave me about knives.

Despite having spent almost twice as much money on it as I had expected, I have no complaints about I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived the day after I ordered it despite being scheduled to arrive three days later. The craftsmanship is of high quality, the usage is easy, and the hand feels great. The package is beautifully packaged, with instructions on how to take care of the knife. As extras, you will also receive saya, tsubaki oil, rust eraser, and a rust prevention sticker. Their catalog even included instructions on how to purchase at a later date. They will definitely be my go-to company from now on. It was a pleasure dealing with you and I appreciate the excellent.
