Questions & Answers

Is it safe to put it in the dishwasher?

Put quality knives in the dishwasher only if they are disposable. Any knife with a quality steel and sharp edge will be degraded by the heat cycles and detergents. The instructions that come with the knife tell you not to do this, but we know that this knife is not the only one. It's not difficult to clean knives anyway since they're so small. All you have to do is wipe with a sponge, then wipe with a towel. You should avoid letting your knife collect anything that is hard to remove (or if you do then you shouldn't be using it for that).

This knife was made in Japan, is it not?

The answer is yes! Japan is typically the source of this item! This knife is awesome!

Do you think it's a sticker on the white square on the handle? Is there a way to get rid of it?

It is possible to remove the sticker.

Do you prefer a double or single ?

A double bevel has been made.

For the home chef, this is an excellent upgrade
5/5

In light of reviews of more expensive knives, I decided to purchase this one. There are reviews from professionals, who can provide insight about the chef's performances and the I chose this knife rather than spending two times as much on the knife I had originally wanted. I've been using it for about a month now, and I'm very impressed with how much sharper this seems compared to my consumer-grade camera A German knife of the highest level. Perhaps my chefs knife needs to be sharpened, because it was a struggle to cut through proteins and vegetables. The only veggies I've sliced/diced so far have been tomatoes, even overcooked ones The tomatoes can be easily cut when they are ripe. Having trimmed the fat as I go, I was able to cut down an entire leg of lamb into kabobs in minutes. Fat is difficult to cut through and can be hard to work with due to its density/viscosity. It can be easily handled by this knife. I have also found that trimming steaks has been super easy, allowing me to trim back the fat with little loss of meat. If you cut steak into sashimi, I could do it. I would like to make an odd comparison The way I usually cut is When I start making waffles for my grandchildren for breakfast, my larger and heavier blades crunch down some of the waffle, causing crumbs to fall from the waffle. Children won't be able to handle this knife as it cuts through easily and it appears too fancy.

Take care of It fits comfortably in my hands, even though I am a six-foot tall man with large hands. I think this knife is great at a great price, too.

This is a great knife at a great price

It's an honor for me to offer you the food that As a result, some people shouldn't hold my opinion to the same caliber as some I am blown away by this knife. (Although Amazon changes prices frequently, I was able to get it for less than $60). It is truly unbelievable for such a low price. You need to keep it extremely careful when it comes out of the box because it has such a sharp edge. Knives like these are great for practicing knife skills, but you can also use them for slicing your finger nails. If you're a home cook looking for a quality, simple, and affordable chef's knife that is very sharp and will stay sharp for long, then you'll find this knife outstanding. Can you find anything wrong Yes, but at this price range it would be difficult and I would consider myself This knife isn't for who else but you? Don't let it put you down if you are not going to treat it with respect. The dishwashing machine or the sink with other dirty dishes and utensils is not the place for this knife (you'll end up getting stitches after reaching into water when you're blindly reaching for the knife. This cutting device is designed and will be able to The knife is a bad choice if you aren't going to use it on a proper cutting surface. Although the knife is supposed to be made of stainless steel, it scratches and dents There is a tendency for stains to appear quite In this situation, you will find more variety elsewhere if you are looking for a showpiece. This knife is a great choice for anyone who does not fit any of these categories and wishes to have a good knife at an affordable price.

It's sharp, so if you like that, you'll like this knife

Tojiro is an amazing knife. It's not perfect (the heel has more sharp edges than I like, the plastic handle is light, etc. ), but it's hard to find a better 60 dollar knife. However, it's not I can't believe how sharp it is. Making air bleed is an example of this. Despite the fact that I love to dice things effortlessly, my girlfriend will not touch this one. Taking a piece from the dish sponge, the device shaved it off. While I've washed scores of knives with a sponge and I've never had this problem. This is the knife for you if you're looking for the kind of knife that commands the same kind of thorough attention when you race a car or shoot a firearm. You should consider renting somewhere else if you are prone to accidents.

For the price, this is one of the best purchases you could make

Four stars instead of five for this knife because I have been using it daily for over a year now, and I can confirm it is a superb buy for its price. Why four rather than five stars? Part of the reasons are related to design and part of them are related There is only one design flaw I found The distance between the handle and the cutting board between the knuckles. A bit more generosity would be nice. There are slight issues with personal preference, but they are nonetheless significant. After doing a lot of research on the benefits of switching to a gyuto style kitchen knife, I decided to take the plunge with the one that I received. While it has its strengths, I have found after daily use that I am more of a western knife style Having an old Wusthof makes me miss its heft and girth. So, to summarize, if you are even slightly curious whether a gyuto knife is the right knife for you, I would say it's the best. A steel of this quality at this price is a steal. It was the perfect knife for me when I was young, and I still use it today. I'm just saving up for a Messermeister, but in the meantime, I still have a good one at home.

I am glad that I decided on Tojiro instead of Buying this knife was a milestone for me it was my very first expensive knife, and my very first Japanese knife
5/5

I needed a chef's knife for my preteen who loves to Her tools were outdated, and she needed to buy new ones. When I first started looking for a Shun, I changed my mind after reading Amazon reviews and forums and decided to go with Tojiro. It is less brittle, but not as striking in appearance The value you get is definitely more than what you pay. This knife is fun to use, and I am truly grateful that I decided to go with it. An excellent knife makes such a difference that I was unaware of it. In one pass, it easily slices through sweet potatoes and chops leaves with no This tool minces onions in an incredibly short period of time. I really like how the weight isn't too heavy or too light. As a result, I really like it and will probably get a 6" chef's knife and an extra paring knife (in addition to the A 5'' DVD It will cover our needs for years to come.
