Installing the ledges using screws and anchors will ensure that the shelf is supported by the weight of whatever is placed on it while also supporting the weight of the shelf itself. Although we are willing to provide an alternative adhesive, we do not guarantee that it will work.
It is 8 x 1 screws that we use A quarter- A Phillips head measuring 2 inches in diameter. A variety of drywall anchors are available from us as well.
Mark the screw holes using a pencil after holding your shelf up where you want it. Be sure it is level and make sure it is level. A great fit for the range and can hold quite a bit of spice. To hold it in place, I used Command strips The fact that I didn't want to poke holes in my brand new tile is pretty obvious. As I got the range a few minutes before the contractors had it pushed all the way back, I could have chosen the narrower one. Likewise, the gas line behind the stove meant that we had to use a piece of stainless steel, 2 inches wide to cover the gap between the wall and the range. Perfectly suited to my tiny studio, I value every square inch of it. Previously the space between the stove and wall had been small. I needed a small 5 inch shelf in that area.
