It seems to me that I accumulate more plates each month even though I don't buy them. use to give the plates back to my MIL, but I end up storing them in my cupboard. I do not have enough cabinets to separate plates by size, so I ended up with a tower of plates that could fall at any minute and break. The result was that I would always have to dig below several plates every time I needed a plate. If I wanted a specific plate, I would have to remove the top stack, then put it back after getting it. While it might sound silly, I saw something like this on Pinterest and honestly did not know anything like this existed. Prior to this, I used a vertical plate shelf, but now I really like this one! I would like to say that, despite the fact that I returned the plate rack, the rack is very nice. I bought this plate rack to replace my vinyl covered rack that has begun to crack. I needed the vinyl to last at least another year. Using this rack, I knew that my plates would fit because it has the same section width and equal number of sections as my old rack. My rack has one end that is narrower than the other and is rectangle shaped, unlike the rack on this site. My dessert plates fit neatly on the narrow end of this shelf. There is too much width on this plate rack for the smaller plates I use. However, if you just intend to use it to hold dinner plates, it is a great rack even though it would have been nice to have a vinyl cover option.
Our new stoneware holds up better on this rack than it did on our old rack from decades ago since it contains those wide 3 3/4" divided spaces. I'll give five stars to anything that helps me keep my cabinets under control!.
In order to determine which rack would work best for me, I bought several. This one won out because I liked the wide space between the sections. The other choices had dividers that were too closely spaced for my liking (less than 2"). Having the material be metal is nice, since I can easily wash/clean it, but it would be nice if it were coated so that the plates don't slide or slip A review suggested that I do the following By inserting plastic tubing and cutting some wires at the bottom, we can make the base more resistant to corrosion The slip happened, but I was just too lazy to clean it up. As a result of stacking them in my storage cabinet, I wasn't able to make use of the space. Additionally, I had the dinner and divided plates stacked, in addition to the luncheon and dessert plates, which made it difficult to pick up the ones underneath those. The odds of them being scratched or broken were high. The plate divider solved all my problems completely after I took a risk on it. With my new cabinet, I am able to make better use of it. I really like the way it was Upon delivery, the product was well packaged and arrived in a timely manner. Replaced a vinyl coated rack that had served me well for over a decade This rack looks better, it is a bit lower and it is not quite as wide as my old rack, but it fits everything so I'm satisfied.
