A visit to my daughter recently led me to purchase this grill pan. Some dishes we wanted to make called for a grill pan, we didn't have one and she didn't have one. There is nothing I love more than I love the ease of cleaning and how well it performs. As soon as I return home, I will order one for my own kitchen, and I told my best friend about how well it works, and she has since ordered one for her own kitchen. If you want to give this as a gift, you can't go wrong with this pan. I am very satisfied with this.

The result is that everything falls off when I wash it only with hot water. I love how even the cooking is and how fast the heat gets hot. When I make bacon on it, I just turn on my fans so that I don't get burned by grease, but I do get a lot of smoke, so I don't make bacon on it too often. My favorite way to cook vegetables on it is to get the grill taste without having the food fall through the grates. In comparison, my grill baskets do not cook evenly as this one does.

The full size Lodge cast iron griddle and half size are both available to me. It is difficult to clean them because they are so heavy. This pan is the one I used yesterday to cook fish. It would have stuck like crazy on a cast iron griddle because the marinade I used had honey in it. By using a metal fish spatula, I was able to flip the fish in no time. The pan was free of any stuck food. Plus, you can grab its handles with a couple pot holders and take it into the house to dish out. For marinated chicken breasts and steaks, fish, and marinated chicken breasts, this will be a great tool for me. Thankfully, the pan was cool by the time we were done eating, so I simply cleaned it with my nylon bristle brush and hot water afterward. I used soap and warm water the next morning to make sure it was clean and then used an old dishcloth to dry it. You shouldn't try doing that with cast iron because your dish cloth will become My favorite thing about this griddle is its size!
