I just felt compelled to share that these pans are among my all-time favorites, and I adore Cooks Standard pots and pans! I've been replacing my T-shirts one by one. Cooks pots and pans are far superior to Fal pots and pans in terms of quality. The Cooks pans are made of a heavy-gauge metal with a lovely non-stick finish. a coating that sticks Even the rivets that hold the handle to the pans are made of non-ferrous metal. coated with a stick I also like how heavy they are because they don't warp like my other pots and pans did when exposed to standard cooking temperatures. When you pick them up, the handles are smooth and substantial, not paper thin. Having said that, they feel like they weigh slightly less than the other pans, so if you have weak arm strength, you might want to stick with the other brand and just watch your cooking temperatures.
I was looking for a good griddle pan to use with my regular fry pan when I came across this one. I was skeptical at first, but the positive feedback persuaded me otherwise. On the topic of even cooking and cleaning, I agree with the general consensus. There are no issues to be found. Much superior to the ubiquitous HSN copper and ceramic pans. The bottom of the pan, however, has a problem with the coating. It gives off a faint chemical odor that I'm not sure what it is while cooking. I've washed it several times by hand, and while the smell has faded with each use, it remains. I cook on a stove that has a glass top.
Cooking pancakes is a common occurrence in this household, so we decided to invest in a nice nonstick griddle. For the first few months, it worked perfectly, but then the pancakes began to stick to the pan. Unfortunately, when purchasing from Amazon rather than, say, Walmart, you are on your own for warranty assistance after 30 days. I attempted to look up the manufacturer on the internet but was unsuccessful.
This is the pan to get if you want to do some frying or grilling on the stovetop. It's a little thicker than the others I've had before. It doesn't appear to be wrapping around the middle. Although I haven't tried it in the oven yet, it has a sturdy handle that didn't get hot while I was frying. On an electric stove, the heat distribution was excellent. To go with the griddle, I'll purchase the matching grill. There's a lot of space to cook on. There is enough room for 6 large boneless pork chops.
This griddle is of excellent quality. It's sturdy, has a long-lasting finish, a cool-to-the-touch handle, and evenly cooks. This purchase has made me extremely happy.
I've been using it for a few months now and I'm very happy with it so far. Griddles warping has been a nightmare for me. This one appears to be made of a sturdy material that can withstand temperature changes without warping. Let's hope it continues to be so.
This griddle is a far cry from the typical $10-$15 griddle. Version 15 is available. On a standard stovetop burner, cooking is much more even, so the output quality is much higher without having to rotate things around to get somewhat even cooking. This griddle saves a great deal of time and effort. If you use a griddle frequently, this is a better option than a cheaper model. If you don't use a griddle very often but have the money to spend on high-end items to improve your life in small ways, this is also a winner.
This took the place of a crooked, but never over-the-top, previous model. Grill on top of the stove that has been heated I had hoped that my previous grill's mildly warped surface was an anomaly, but this new grill is slightly warped as well, as evidenced by putting butter on the 250 degree surface and watching it run towards the edges - Although it does not move as quickly as the old grill, it does reveal that the center is slightly higher. I believe that 90 of such Made in China grills will perform in the same manner. The handle has a nice weld to it. The surface appears to be flawless and free of flaws. It appears that the bottom surface is the same as the top surface. There is no concentric pattern or metal combination as I have seen with other grills I have reviewed or used. It'll be interesting to see how long this grill lasts and how well it functions without warping. As always, I'll hand wash it, avoid putting it in the oven, and carefully monitor surface temperatures to keep them below 375 degrees Fahrenheit to preserve the grill's surface and structure.
