My cast iron frying pan is still safe to use in my glass/ceramic stove since it is made of ceramic. The cast iron prevents the glass from being scratched. I make sure that before I remove it, it is cool so it won't warp. It sits very flat on the glass when I need to use it. There are few times when I need to clean it, as I tend to use my smaller and larger caking irons.
The stainless steel makes it suitable for dishwasher use, but I wouldn't put it in one. With use, it will discolor, but that is just a part of aging.
As far as China is concerned. The United States doesn't seem to be making anything
That's what I take it to be? )ong as the heat transfers to the cook pot, the diffuser shouldn't care The key to using a diffuser is managing the heat inside, not outside of it. In order to protect the glass, the cooktop will automatically shut off if it becomes too hot.

The glass top of my new stove allows me to use cast iron skillets. I like it very much.
The idea was to use this to connect my cast iron pan to my glass stovetop. At several different temperatures, I was unable to get it to work. Depending on how busy I am, I won't have the time to wait for that long when I'm cooking a large meal or something that needs to be done right away. Having used it, I guess I should be able to return it, but I don't think it's useful to me.
Last year, we switched from gas to induction cooktops, and we had to replace some cookware with magnetic cookware that worked with the induction cooktop. In my case, the 16 quart stock pot needed to be cast iron. Cast iron is heavy, and I would rather not get it. The bottom of this stock pot burned pretty badly when I cooked a big batch of soup in it. With this diffuser, the heat was better absorbed and spread out. You do have to get used to it if you want to use it effectively!.
Diffuser plates work as expected, but on an induction cooktop they are terrible. As an owner of a Duxtop Professional Cooktop, I have used this plate and found it to be incredibly When I check the temps with a Thermopen and an infrared temp gun, it takes "forever" to reach the correct temperature of the contents of the pan, and really high temperatures are not achieved! If you want to save your money, I recommend you to just invest in a set of induction-ready Those remarks would apply to any induction diffuser plate, I'm sure.
Was disappointed that I had to dispose of them after one month because they got deformed and the lawyers came apart.
Things are prevented from scorching when using this. Something got on it, causing a stain that has been difficult to remove if not impossible. When I use it on a glass cooktop I am very careful, so I do not slide it around, but only place it directly. It would be great if it lasted forever.
used to think that you needed special pots and pans for an induction stove until I bought one recently. My glass teapot didn't want to part with me despite getting all new pots and pans. Using this to warm water in my glass teapot was a wise purchase. It has been a great experience so far.
