I'm sure that won't fit on your 01781 Jenny Jo, but it's okay. As with my 01751 and many others, the original pressure regulator comes with that model. The same vent tube is used by all three, allowing for three tubes to fit simultaneously A regulator made of one piece.
There is no problem with that regulator As long as the pressure regulator has the part number 09978, it will work on any Presto model.
If you need help with Presto, you should contact the customer service department. A great deal of knowledge and assistance is provided by them. A pressure regulator which comes in three weights, 15 psi, 10 psi, and 5 psi, was purchased. There are three weights, each of which you use for 15 and two for ten, and they are all available as a pack of three. What a great idea! Though I don't know what its part number is. Someone at Presto should be able to answer that question. Have a good time cooking and best of luck!

It is my opinion that anyone with a presto pressure canner must have this. The furnace does not have to be continually adjusted to maintain pressure, since this feature does it for me. After removing the topmost ring (10 lbs), it simply rocks back and forth retaining the amount of pressure I need to can. As soon as you dial those temperatures in just right, you can work on other kitchen tasks without having to keep an eye on My order arrived today and I am very happy with it.
The device includes two rings that can be removed to allow adjustment of the The canner maintains a pressure of 5 pounds per square inch without rings. The rings keep the weight at 10 pounds and both rings keep the weight at 15 pounds. This is a very significant improvement since before, I had to check my canner every other day In order to maintain a constant pressure, I kept changing the heat every 3 minutes. Using this method, I can pressure the pot, turn the heat to low, and walk away from it for a longer period of time I have bought two others as back-ups just in case I happen to lose one and could not do without it in my Presto once more!.
We can hundreds of jars a year and also teach classes, and we have used this gauge for about a year now as an alternative to dial gauge testing since my local extension office no longer offers this service. We have a #01781 Presto 23-inch stainless steel gauge. This dial has a quart-sized In gauge pressure canner (In GP canner.
One of those big (23 qt) presto pressure cookers is in my possession. In addition to preventing blast off, the regulator was also good for reducing noise. For it to remain at a certain pressure, I would have to keep an eye on it at all times and adjust the heat accordingly. PreSto did have one similar to that, so I looked if it could be used with it. There was only one thing they said Use the meter if there is a difference. 15 pounds is the weight at which I can lift things. When I turned it on, it produced enough steam to maintain a height of just over 15 lbs if the temperature was too high. This means that I am sure the pressure and temperature were maintained properly. In the event that we ran out of water, I would know because I could hear the valve rock in another room. You could either watch a pressure cooker valve that you have to close every 75 minutes like hawks, or you could just leave the room once some steam is escaping. The best of all worlds! The Presto version is not included in Presto, I don't know why. By taking off your rings, you will boost your strength by 5 and 10 pounds.
I have used this with my 23-quart Presto pressure cooker and it is great. The number of canned tomatoes one can own is infinite! Pictures one and two have no rings and have a 10 PSI force each. Pictures three and four have two rings and a 15 PSI force each.
I'm so glad I found this little gem to make pressure canning so much easier! While I am cooking, I put the jar on the canner and then I start doing dishes and just keep an eye on the gauge (I am facing the stove). Whenever the pressure gets close to 10 pounds, I turn down the heat a notch, wait for the regulator to start chugging, and then ease the heat off. It is a pleasure to work on clean up duty or prepare the next load of cans once it is rocking gently. This allows me to know that the pressure is accurate since I can hear the rocking. I would not pressure can without it. * * ** I use this with the Presto 23 Qt model # 01781 - the best eleven dollars I have spent for a long time!.
Pressure canning is made easier by this tool As I do not have to monitor the pressure constantly or adjust the heat to maintain the correct pressure, I don't have to babysit the canner. If only one ring is worn, it holds at 11- A pressure of 12 psi is ideal for canning meat and has a low impact on the environment It is important to eat acidic If it does not have rings, the pressure is about 6 psi for food that does not require.
