Questions & Answers

When these bags are laid flat, what are their dimensions? Is there anything I can use them for other than food (I want to use them for something else)?

There are about 20 of them. 5 inches wide by 30 inches long. The length of the CD is 5 inches if it's laid

Anyone here use these bags to catch and hold grain during the milling process?

There's no way this bag can handle ground grain, unless you are grinding flour. The bag is very thin and wouldn't hold up to being put through a grinder. Still, I doubt it will be able to support

How well does this lid fit in Visit our website. The Amazon website. Is it atvpdkikx0der?

The ring screws into the bucket. The bucket is hammered on to the ring, then the lid is screwed onto it.

Do these methods work for oil extraction in lye that is food grade?

The answer is yes as long as it does not require stirring or anything that is going to damage the liner, however, the plastic is really thin. Such a system will not hold up well to

I can't believe that there are bag liners
5/5

The buckets are food grade and I bought them to put in my The world seems brighter and has a greater meaning since I bought them. Puppies and kittens have been more frequent since I got them. Those plastic bucket liners in 5 gallon buckets have a certain magic. Just looking at the improved quality of life they bring is reason enough to buy some. Now that I've finished, I think I'll listen to some music.

The skin is too It is impossible to stuff too much into the bags
3/5

Bags at the supermarket are thinner than those at the grocery store. They are ok for show as long as you want them. However, if you want the tools to be useful, then you should not buy.

The bags leaked the first two times they were used! Do not believe that the others will not do the same

The interface is straightforward and easy I used these liners to seal dry foods in my refrigerator
5/5

I was impressed with how easy they are to use and how durable they seem. A few days later I went back to Lowe's to buy more buckets, and I found that I could get food quality Although this is a drawback, they are still helpful since they allow me to close them tighter when I am using them to store my dry goods. (On a side note, I found two part food grade lids at Lowe's, too. With the help of a rubber seal, the outer ring snaps on, and the rest of the lid screws on. You don't have to wear the outer ring every time you want to eat, since you can just push it off when you need to. though I have these new buckets, I'm grateful for the Their suggestion of using them for a brine sounds like a great idea, especially for turkeys or whole chickens. had not had a large crock in my kitchen, I would have made kraut in them instead. The price may seem excessive compared with trash can liners, but you must consider that these are food grade and they will last for a long time. The more I need, the more I'll buy.

I needed to double up due to the thinness
3/5

The brine I used for the 16-pound turkey came from these. I had to double up the bags to prevent the brine from leaking, even though it could have been user error. During the first time I used it, I noticed that the brine leaked somehow. Luckily, I had put the bagged turkey in a container so that the brine did not go everywhere in However, I did notice that the one bag did leak into the 2nd bag<extra_id_20> trying again with 2 bags, and while it didn't leak out this time, it did leak into the 1st.

Considering the price, this is a fantastic buy
5/5

However, you will have to repurchase after two years. As soon as they're new, they work well. The chances of using them all are very slim. The fabric starts tearing at around the 2 year mark if it is put away for later use. Their durability is not as good as their predecessors. Getting the brisket brined last year, we had to wrap it in triple wrap because the bags kept ripping as we tried This remains one of the best buys. Before we ran into trouble, we brined about four briskets for 10 bucks. Almost brisket season is coming up, so we will be purchasing more this time.

I urge you not to click, but This is a 5 gallon bucket that I bought
3/5

It is the orange home depot one we are all familiar with. I was supposed to brine a Thanksgiving turkey with that. The bags I purchased were from a shop. Concerned by the thinness of these young men, I wanted to help. I did not just double bag, I did triple bag. placed the turkey into the lined bucket and within minutes there was just as much brine outside the bags as there was inside. I had to bring the turkey in one of the upstairs bathrooms and take it out in a bathtub in order to get it out of the bucket. As the bag split (even more), but also got the brine and raw turkey juice all over the kitchen, I opted not to risk it. As a pet owner, I have several dogs and cats. There would be a stampede for that in no time. It's another good reason not to You can find better ones online, I am sure.
