Questions & Answers

Are there any left-handed people who use this? Is it compatible with people who are on the left side of the spectrum? In this household, there are both right and left hands, as well as one who can do both. ?

With this ladle, I don't believe it matters if you're left or right handed. On both sides, the situation is identical. It's a universal ladle, in my opinion.

The canning scoop's handle began to come loose. This has the potential to be a disastrous situation. Do you have any recommendations? I'm unable to locate the company's contact information. ?

I'd like to add my two cents to this discussion. I've had mine for a few years, but this was the first time I put it to use. I was preparing jelly at the time. When I went to pour the first scoop of BOILING jelly, the scoop portion slipped off the handle and spilled everything all over the place. My other hand, thankfully, was not resting on the stovetop or near the ladle. That would've resulted in a severe burn. This has left me completely dissatisfied. I'd been away from canning for a long time, and this was my first batch. I tried pretending to ladle something out after cleaning everything up, including the scoop, but it wouldn't come off. In the scoop portion, it had to be the weight of something. The scoop, on the other hand, will easily detach itself from the handle. I also have other products from this company that I adore. This one, in my opinion, is risky.

Is this product manufactured in the United States of America?

It's a little surprising that this has four stars. 8 Stars. For the past two years, I've been eyeing this Ladle and wishing for it. I tried it out once and was underwhelmed. To begin with, it does not appear to be the stated size. Second, the shape is awkward; the handle is short, the bowl is oblong, and the pour spouts are extremely wide; I had to get a wider funnel for my jars just to keep the broth from spilling everywhere. I bought it so that I could fill my jars more easily and with a pour spout that was easy to use. That is not the case. Filling my quart jars took a long time, and I still had liquid all over the place. My large antique ladle is far superior. I tried pouring from the sides and pouring from the front, and despite the pour spouts, pouring from the front works much better than pouring from the sides. I would not buy this again. The only thing that was slightly useful was the handle hook, but even that was just a tad too small, so if the pan's lip is large, you'll have to angle it to fit it on. I haven't cleaned it yet, so I'm not sure how well it will clean, and I'm not sure how long it will last because I won't be using it very often. I'm glad I didn't use this on Jam the first time around, because my jam would have gotten all over the place. I'm not sure how you'll fill a half-pint jar with this, given how difficult it is to aim. Update: It didn't go on indefinitely, though. The next time I used it, I killed it by leaving it on the bottom of the jam pan while I cleaned, lidded, and put the jars in the water processing pan. That's something I've done before, but with an old metal ladle. As a result, the bottom of the pan became scorched.

It is worthwhile to purchase

I bought this label scoop for canning, and I love how it has a built-in hook that allows it to sit on the side of your pot without being submerged in the contents. Also, because the front shape fits almost perfectly into the 90-degree angle of the pan's bottom, there is less waste. I'd buy it again and recommend it to anyone who wants to can food.

Excellent product! Everyone has a favorite ladle that they use for specific tasks

The Kneady Homesteader, a homesteading youtuber, introduced me to this gem! She's been mentioning it a lot in her canning videos, so I decided to give it a shot. This accomplishes the purpose for which it was created. You can almost get every last drop of your jams, jellies, and preserves out of the pot without straining and leaving a lot behind to set. Because of its oblong shape, it can scrape the rounded bottoms of our pots to extract all of the contents. Some will gel, but not as much as if you used a round ladle. This is something I would recommend to any canner; it hangs from the pot, reducing waste and allowing you to get the most out of the pot before it starts to set. There will be less mess, less time wasted, and more time to do the things we enjoy.

It's the clumsiest ladle I've ever used! The concept is great, but the design is terrible! I'm not sure how this received any positive feedback
3/5

It's the clumsiest ladle I've ever worked with. In theory, it appears to be a fantastic idea. , but it's built in such a way that pouring from that angle is too difficult, and if you hold it at the wrong angle, it dumps somewhere else. I used it for five canner loads to see if there was a learning curve, but every mess and scalding made me hate it even more. Because the seller will not pay for return shipping, it is not worth returning.

This is an incredible find

Canners will appreciate this scoop. For jelly jars, use one scoop; for pint jars, use two scoops; and for quart jars, use four scoops. It's the perfect size, and the scoop's shape makes it easy to get to the bottom of the pan when you tilt the pot to the side and scrape the last few drops out. The hook is also useful for hanging the ladle in the pot when not in use.

IT WAS EXACTLY WHAT I HAD EXPECTED! This is a fantastic scoop! It fulfills its promise: removing every last drop of liquid from the pot with ease It's also *extremely* generous in terms of capacity, making it much easier to empty the pot with this LARGE ladel

Hand-washing the dishes is a breeze! I also ran it through the dishwasher once, and it came out perfectly. I use it in all of my soups and stews. Accidental spillage didn't seem to bother me at all. I am extremely happy. It comes highly recommended!.

It's fantastic

While searching for new canning ideas on YouTube, I noticed women using this ladle. I ordered one because it looked so good and all the women were raving about it. I'm 70 years old and have been canning for more than 40 years. Every generation seems to come up with a new canning gadget, but this one is the absolute best!! It can hold a lot of food and fits easily into a canning funnel to fill jars (you'll need a wide funnel for this). This is a substantial item). It also collects all of the debris that you would normally miss while scraping the kettle's bottom sides. This is a fantastic piece. Last night, I made canned chicken soup, which saved me some time because I didn't have to keep scooping with my regular soup ladle. Ladies, have fun! This is fantastic.

In use, an unexpected result
3/5

These scoops had piqued my interest! I like how large they are and how they sit at the pan's end. I made a cream of potato soup and spooned it into various containers using this scoop. The red bled into my soup as time went on! Not happy doesn't begin to describe how I feel. I bought two of them, so I'll have to watch what I do with them. They were also difficult to keep clean. The soup had dried onto the scoop by the time I got it all into freezer containers, but that should have come off with a hot soapy wash. That wasn't the case at all. I had to scrub it off a lot harder than I anticipated. As a result, I sincerely hope that others have better fortune than I did.
