Is it a halt? safe? Has anyone tried it yet?

I believe it is contingent on how meticulously you fill it. If I overfill a glass jar with material that expands, the glass jar will break. However, it appears to be fine if I don't overfill it and let it thaw before opening it. br>However, I would probably start with a small amount and see what happens. I'm not convinced that glass is the best material for freezing.

Is this a Chinese jar?

No, according to what I've read, this brand of jars has been manufactured in the United States since the late 1800s. The lids are also in good condition.

Despite the fact that decorators now claim that open kitchen shelves are out of style, I will always prefer my neat rows of clear Ball jars all lined up. As needed, they can be easily retrieved from the shelves. To keep things fresh, I put everything in these jars that is wrapped in plastic, cellophane, or cardboard. dozens of slick, messy bags are no longer a source of chaos boxes that take up too much room.
