Questions & Answers
I don't drink coffee, but I do use mine to make tea in a cup, so you should be able to make a single cup of coffee with it as well.
Yes, the completed one-piece infuser is made up of several pieces that have been spot welded together. The bottom is welded to the ground tube along one side with a welded seam, and the top and tabs (wings) are welded to the round ring top. The lid is made of a single piece of material.
You fill it with the amount of loose tea you need for a cup or a pot. Submerge the strainer in hot water in your cup or pot. I've only made one cup at a time because I'm the only one who drinks tea, and I enjoy it.
The wings do not detach from the body. They allow you to suspend the infuser filled with tea leaves in your teapot's water. When the desired infusion time has passed, simply use the handy wings to easily lift out of your teapot. Pour your tea by covering the opening with your own teapot lid.

This item was delivered to me a few days ago. One of the top tabs came off while I was cleaning it after the first and only use. It is completely useless because it can no longer sit on my mugs. I went to return it, but they don't accept returns at this company. I am extremely dissatisfied with every aspect of this transaction and have been unable to find a satisfactory solution.
The lid does not screw on and does not even stay in place. The infuser floats, then falls over, causing the lid to come off and everything to spill out. I could strain leaves from my tea without buying an infuser if I wanted to.
Previous Amazon reviews appeared to be negative for all tea strainers. I needed to find one that met my loose tea leaf requirements. I decided to give it a shot. I'M SO THANKFUL I DID IT! This is extremely well-made. The holes are the perfect size for a pin! I also appreciate the fact that it came with a lid. The handles are safe. Yes, this is something I would buy again!.
It's old, like more than 50 years old. Too many particles seep out of the holes. I'd been on the lookout for a suitable replacement. When I was looking for teas, this came up. It has made me extremely happy. It is simple to clean. Tea with particulates is no longer an option for me. It can be used to make either a pot or a cup of tea. It looks great in either setting. Rather than pouring the water into the pot and then adding the infuser, I found that pouring the water over the tea and then covering it with the lid to allow it to steep works much better. I bought another one for my mother since then.
This item's lid is one of my favorites. When you're finished steeping your tea, remove the lid, turn it upside down, and place the tea strainer into the cup. It's simple to use, clean, and, best of all, it's free of plastic. Plastics are found in many tea bags, which you drink. Not for me any longer!.
I use this for loose tea, and unlike other tea filters, this one is extra fine, so no particles pass through, except if the blend contains powder, such as turmeric, which is to be expected. If I could change one thing, it would be wider side wings because I have a couple of mugs with a wider lip that slips. I'm satisfied in general. The smaller hat/catcher is extremely useful. I can take my tea wherever I want while it steeps, then remove it when it's done and place it beside me. Simple and tidy. While looking for this product, I came across other steepers that had a rubber or plastic coating on the metal. While I didn't care for the coating at first, after using it for a few months, I see why it's a useful feature. Because the metal is extremely hot, you must exercise caution when removing the steeping cap, removing the steeper from your mug after it has been steeped in hot water, and setting it down on any surface.
It's also so big that not only does water pass through it easily (which is ideal for infusing), but the leaves themselves fully expand and release all of the flavors. br>I can't believe I wasted so much time looking for something like this. It holds a lot of cups and is very easy to clean. br>Seriously, if you have one of the tiny floating eggs or spring-loaded eggs, you should use it. Dump the spring infusers and get this instead.
It's functional and makes a tasty cup of tea. There is no rust or scum, and it is easy to clean. Although I still get sediment in my cup, this could be due to the fact that I drink tea from tea bags. I slit the tea bag open and pour the contents into this stainless steel infuser. So the bleach they use on the paper filter is no longer detectable in my mouth. As a result, the infuser is a welcome addition to my collection. The sediment settles to the bottom because it is so small. As a result, it isn't an issue, and I don't have to spend a lot of money on loose leaf tea. Win- Win!.
