No, I didn't have any of that. I drink a variety of herbal teas, some strong and others mild, and I haven't noticed any metallic flavors. They appear to be made of real 304 stainless steel and are rust-free. Personally, I like this package - It certainly satisfies all of my requirements.
A teaspoon is included in the package.
There are three links in the chain. The distance between the strainer's lid and the bottom of the hook that hooks over the cup's lip is 5 inches. An inch has been added to the hook. This, however, extends beyond the cup's rim.
The diffuser is most commonly used with loose tea. For loose tea, the diffuser functions similarly to a tea bag. I suppose you could put a tea bag in the diffuser, but I believe this will result in a very weak cup of tea because the bag won't be able to flow freely.

The infuser's lid was difficult to grasp and open, and the mechanism that kept it shut was small and flimsy. After washing it, I put tea in it and tried to close it properly so it wouldn't fall apart; unfortunately, I couldn't tell when the lid was sufficiently engaged, so after making sure the holes were lined up with the tiny clips, I turned the lid as hard as I could in the correct direction. I didn't get any feedback that the lid was locked in place, but it stayed together long enough for me to put it in the cup and pour water over it. I lifted the infuser after a few minutes to assist with water circulation. When the lid came off, the tea spilled all over the place. It's going back to you.
Excellent craftsmanship - They don't rust in my stainless sink (which most metal kitchen items, including "stainless" ones, do). The lid does not stay in place, but it is very simple to remove. The chain for removing the infuser and the tray for storing the used infuser are both thoughtful touches. They also have no effect on the flavor. I was concerned that they would add a metallic flavor, but this hasn't happened. They are fantastic!.
The hook does not easily attach to the edge of a mug, and if you try to wrap it around the mug handle, it is barely long enough to attach to itself. Having said that, it does a good job of containing loose leaf tea. even the smaller bits that are frequently lost in other infusers The addition of the measuring spoon is a nice touch. It's easy to clean and the top stays secure. There hasn't been any rusting as far as I can tell. So far, everything has worked out well.
When I'm shopping, I always read the negative reviews first because they're usually more informative about what to avoid. The one-star reviews for this product all complain about the lid not being a screw on (which is correct), being a snap on (which is incorrect), and not being secure (which is completely false!) The lid does not screw on with threads, but rather engages the latches with a gentle and modest turn. The latches are likely to be damaged if you try to "snap" the lid on. I didn't have any problems with the top coming off because I knew this from the start and used it correctly. I don't have to rush to the sink or dirty a larger dish to put the strainer on because the small tray is perfect for catching drips. Instead of using a coffee scoop, which is too large, the spoon comes in handy for filling the strainer. This is fantastic, and I highly recommend it!.
It works perfectly; however, I had expected it to be a little larger. The bottom part does not have a diameter of 2 inches. However, it continues to function. I was also expecting the top to be screwed on, but it's just a series of holes and latches that connect. It closes while in use and hasn't caused any issues so far. Aside from that, it's a good steeper; even my tiny peppermint leaves are kept inside.
I was blown away by the quality. They've been requested by a few of my friends to take them home, so they're definitely giftable. Now I'll have to go out and buy more to replace the ones they took. One of my friends immediately placed an order for some for herself.
This is an amazing product! It's simple to clean, fill, and serve hot or cold. It also includes a Measuring Scoop that is very useful. The pin holes in the product allow the tea flavor to seep into your water while also making cleanup a breeze. When you're done seeingping your tea, it also comes with a small tray. I'm looking for a way to make some iced tea. When you're done seeping, add some ice or put the picture in the fridge to cool it down. When it comes to photos, this product's large capacity is ideal for capturing a group photo of friends drinking hot or cold tea.
