When it comes to cooking with herbal teas, I'm big fan. To make this, I have used cheese cloth or a sachet for the past two years. The tea infusers for cooking purposes I have here are large enough to season a few quarts of water easily. I didn't realize that infusers for cooking could be larger than those for a cup. It would have been a five-star rating if they had been weighted better, but overall it would have been 5 stars. It is important that the weight is heavier so that they don't roll or flip over or fall on their sides. If the locking mechanism was improved weighting would not be as necessary. To attach the lid to the base, there are three raised catches rather than threads. To be sure you enjoy it make sure to try it before you fill it When I first turned it on, I thought it was locked, but it wasn't fully seated, so the lid started to pop.

Despite all the good reviews I've read before ordering, I can confidently say it is the best set I've ever purchased. With these infusers, there is little to no debris left after even the most fine blend of tea is steeped. Their simple operation and easy cleaning make them perfect for home use. ****As a last thought, the bonus spoon comes in very handy for unmeasured blends, and it is actually a heavy & sturdy one.
