Questions & Answers
China was written on the box in which I received mine. Aside from that, they're fantastic.
To keep the string in place, the bag's edges appear to be sealed. For me, the bags are ideal.
I just tore one apart to see what was going on, and I'm still not sure. I don't think there's any glue on the floor. They appear to have been sealed with heat.
Pulling the string tight around the tea bags seals them.

I was really looking forward to getting these and seeing how big they were. I usually use 2 tablespoons of tea per bag, and my old bags were smaller but held the same amount just fine; however, both tea bags I used for this batch busted open while the tea was steeping. I'm hoping it was a case of user error, and I'll try them again and update if anything changes, but for now, I'm giving them three stars because the size is great, and they might be fine if handled gently. Despite the fact that mine tore while in the hot water, I hadn't squeezed them yet, as is customary.
They're also colossal in scale. The size difference between this teabag and the last one I bought, which was already on the large side, can be seen in my photos; the filters are neatly sealed in plastic bags. br>br>Multiple tablespoons of herbs can fit in this teabag. It makes it simple to infuse herbs into boiling water. It's easy to use, and I especially like how strong, consistent, and smooth the strings are (they're better than most Chinese strings). Several of the strings are sloppy or imperfect. The bag is well-made, does not easily tear, and closes quickly. Although the quality is excellent, it is far too large for my tea orders. They're fine for use at home, and they're especially good for large cold infusions, which usually necessitate the use of several teabags. Perfect for iced herbal teas in the summer!.
Unfortunately, I did not open these tea bags until just a few weeks ago. I tried at least six of the tea bags, and they all tasted like chemical cleaner. Naphtha parts cleaner was the only thing that came to mind as a comparison for the smell and aftertaste. It's a subtle flavor, but it's there; I can make the same beverage with a different brand of tea bag and the flavor is completely different.
I bought these to use in my coffee maker, which is a French press. When using a French press, it allows for easy cleanup and prevents harmful oils from entering the coffee. However, because the coffee is weaker, I must use an additional spoonful and steep it for longer. Make sure the bag is completely closed before tying the strings into a knot. If you pull the strings to close the bag, it will rip because they are very thin.
Not at all what I had anticipated. I was expecting the standard-size tea bags available at the store. These are too big to fit in a tea cup.
The fact that the bags are dregs-proof is appealing to me. This tea bag keeps all unwanted dregs out of your cup by crushing the home made tea leaves very finely, almost to dust. This is fantastic. Much superior to tea strainers made of mesh wire. There is no longer any need for me to strain anything.
This is the second time I've bought them. I prefer them to any of the others I've tried before, and I think I've only torn one. Possibly two. every one of my blunders.
