A stovetop electric oven is what I use all the time. As soon as I'm done with the espresso, I just make sure that the handle is cool enough to touch.

Silver paint on the inside is flaking and rubbing off onto the Could you please tell me if this metal food is safe to consume!.
As an espresso addict, I typically make 2 shots of espresso per day with this tiny stove top pot. It's better than anything Starbucks can serve (which I don't consider a real espresso stand) and just as good as my one thousand dollar Costco machine. To share with my husband and myself each morning, I make three pots. At night I fill up the pot so in the morning all I need to do is turn the stove on. I have about five minutes for my coffee to be ready once I've brushed my teeth You have 10 minutes to spare. If you plan to drink this espresso, give it a few seconds to cool down before you do. When you are pouring espresso, do not add sugar or syrups to the cup before it is full, the heat may change the flavor and you want to wait until the espresso is in the mug before adding sweetener. You can happily prepare a pot of iced drinks and then leave it on the counter for a while or put it in the refrigerator for cooling. then add a bit of truvia(stevia). This machine is one tough cookie, the handle stays cool and the lid won't pop open, the complaint we have had with other machines. You can just rinse the dish well after cleaning the sink. There's no need to use an abrasive sponge or run the dishwasher. You should avoid using a too finely ground espresso grinding your own is best. Ensure your beans are of the best quality. As an Italian by birth, I grew up making coffee this way as did my grandparents and great grandparents. It's a method that has stood the test of time. Try it for free at this price! There is no risk to you.
As soon as I got my coffee pot in the mail, I washed it out before use, but as soon as I drank my coffee, I noticed little silver specs in it. The scum on my fingers was actually silver, as I gently rubbed them along the inside of the water container. There's no way I'm eating that junk! It was emailed back to me the day before.
I would not recommend using this product. It could effect your health in a negative way. It appears from the other reviews that the metal used in casting this pot does not meet food grade quality standards. Whenever I wash in my dishwasher, I find that the metal forms a dark powdery film on my fingers. Cast metal cannot be used for food grade aluminum, which can be difficult to explain. You can try this for yourself by simply washing your dishes at high heat in your dishwasher. You can see what comes off of the metal pot by rubbing your fingers over it. The proof will be in your own eyes. If it is possible, wash the area with citric acid or a cleaner containing citric acid. Although food grade aluminum should be able to withstand normal concentrations of citric acid, this will result in the same result. There is no such thing.
I have heard absolutely fantastic things about the espresso it produces from my friends and colleagues. Despite the fact that I just bought it, I am wondering where I'm gonna get replacement gaskets when the gasket that came with it breaks? My plan is to make a lot of Cafe Bustelo in this pot, so it isn't an "if," it is a When! It's easy to order Bialetti replacement gaskets online, but I cannot locate Bellemain replacement gaskets, and I'm not sure whether Bialetti replacement gaskets will match, A solid 5+ would be a solid rating if I could replace the gaskets! I updated this post on the 24th of March I have found that the 6 cup Bialetti gaskets and filters both fit perfectly in my Bellemain 6 cup Espresso/Moka pot, hence I have given this a.
When I was finishing the first batch, the one you discard, I noticed that the aluminum at the base of the stem in the top pot was chipping away. It will be returned to you. The excitement was mutual for me as well.
It absolutely sickens me to buy anything that is made in China, yet labels know this, so they go GREAT LENGTHS to advertise everywhere but there! This Moka pot right here is lovely- They make a lot of noise about how New York is their home and how Italy is Bellemain's parent company, but forget to mention in their little story of wonderfulness that it is really made in China- This has nothing to do with authenticity. As a gift, I gave this to the recipient and told them to donate it to a thrift store. I'll have to be more precise, but I think the FIRST thing that should be listed should be the substance and location that the product is made from.
It does not matter to me if parts wear out or break I have found it to be very easy to use, and it works with our electric coils range, as well as the glass top range we just purchased. This is probably the only part of the book I do not like The fine finishing. I noticed that there was a sharp edge on the coffee filter insert, and the screw at the top and bottom felt somewhat "rough". This could be due more to the metal than it is to the workmanship, I really don't know. Below are a few points to consider As written, fill up the bottom of the pot with cold water, but it has been said that you may burn your coffee this way, as it will take too long for the water to boil before the heat of the pot affects the In addition, as the directions state, it's a good idea to prepare a pot or two of water to toss before using If you want to experiment with how hot your burner is, now would be a good time. Ideally, you would like the coffee to pour out gently, without shooting and sputtering do not recall seeing that information in the instructions. As a whole, the coffee pot performs like it should without any major issues, and it costs less than half as much as the Bialetti found in our local retail store.
