We can't live without it
5/5

There will never be a time when I'm without a God tier. My longevity better be around $1k including tax, or else I'll turn into an angry customer instead of one who loves it.

The results were good, but there was less manual control than the typical espresso machine
5/5

The best espresso machines feature quality grinders so you can control certain critical variables To make "restaurant quality" espresso and to make a perfect shot, you need an automatic espresso maker. Grinding size, extraction time, and temperature are among the factors that can affect extraction. In the past it has been the Breville Barista Express that has been the most popular high end espresso machine. It takes a long time for that machine to learn. You won't get anywhere without a lot of practice (and wastage of coffee). Learning the right grind size from the many available options or knowing how to consistently tamp the grounds with the right amount of pressure takes time and practice. It's also important to learn how to use the steam wand properly when you make drinks with milk. If you want a machine that makes really good espresso, such as various Jura models, you can spend about four times more than what the Breville costs. If you are willing to spend just a little more money than the Breville you could consider the De'Longhi La Specialista Prestigio espresso machine, which automates some of the tough steps yet still gives you more control over the process than a superautomatic espresso It does take a bit of time to master the skill of making good lattes and cappuccinos with this machine, but it is well worth the effort for anyone starting out making espresso at home. The steam wand is also improved over previous De'Longhi models. I was able to achieve much better results with this espresso machine quickly after practicing a little. I had a hard time getting better results with my other espresso machines. Overall, this is a very nice espresso machine, and it is probably the best deal in terms of a small home espresso machine under $1,000 that you can find.

The best of the best! The company we work for is huge- Since becoming long-time espresso drinkers, we have been searching for the best home coffee maker
5/5

The De'Longhi coffee maker has turned out to be it. My NespressoTM Innissa is great for quick espressos, and my Barista® is good for tasty coffees Although I got a similar Italian espresso machine on Amazon, the De'Longhi stands head and shoulders above them. At this price point, it is harder to beat, but I do think this machine would be hard to beat in the lower price range There is a $1,000 category of espresso machines for home use. The built-in tamper is a great feature that makes a huge difference. The tamper usually leaves a mess on the counter, but the machine with the pull handle on the side does it before you take out In order to make a great brew, I accidentally set the grind the second time so the coffee, once tamped, was level with the indicated level line. It did not take me long to grind my coffee beans to #4 and it ran well too. A particularly useful feature of the De'Longhi is the pull down tray that you can use for holding your cup(s). In addition to getting the best crema on your espresso, it is also helpful to place your cup close to the drip. In my test, I ran the same coffee through both machines with the same beans and it was clear that the De'Longhi was much superior. I actually liked the coffee (same coffee) better. This just goes to show how advanced the technology in these higher-education institutions is Superior machines and extraction processes ensure a successful extraction. It is not a cheap thing to do, but if you go up to that level then you are If you are in the $1000-$1000 price range, I think you cannot beat this machine. I must also mention how beautiful it looks in terms of design, and how it really stands out on the kitchen counter.

Espresso to die for! Getting used to this De'Longhi La Specialista Prestigio espresso machine is taking a little while, but I am finding it to be quite useful
5/5

It is easy to operate this machine since there is no mess for me to clean up, no worries about whether or not i'm tamping with sufficient pressure, or if I am using an angle in my tamping. Since many of those variables are eliminated by the automated grind/tamp system in this machine, it should be possible for amateurs like myself to get better espressos without having to be more proficient at grind preparation and tamping, controlling pressure directly, or having a precise It is not a true dual boiler, since you cannot frother and pull a shot at the same time, but the delay between shot and milk heat up is a bit shorter. Another benefit is that even my non-coffee-drinking husband could use this machine easily. In order for him to get a shot, he had to move the portafilter from the grind area to the group head and press the "OK" button.

The pics show me using the single shot (they provide the non-concentrated In the beginning, I tried to use the 1 bar heat setting and "5" coarseness grind specified in the instruction manual for dark roast coffee, but I ended up with runny weak Even though it isn't shown, I also used a timer scale for a few pulls, just to make sure I was getting good results. My experience is that, at least with the beans I'm currently using, I can fit about 13 g of coffee in the basket, and I'm getting about 35 g of espresso out in a fast 12 seconds, with the pressure gauge showing about 11 o'clock. While I tried using more coffee and a finer grind to slow things down, it did not work out so well (basket got stuck, espresso didn't taste so Basically, I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong, but as long as I do "2" grind level as is, and 12 seconds it tastes alright. As soon as I move on to a new bean, I'll work a little more with this. Recent articles about "turbo" shots suggest it's beneficial to grind relatively finer and run faster when using medium to coarse grinds -- For example, here are my twelve seconds, at a one If you choose 2, or if you choose 1, you should An ideal espresso grinder grind to espresso ratio is 3 grinds to espresso, however there is another controversy about that. The only thing I can tell you is that this machine produces tasty espresso that is not bitter, bright tasting, and very tasty all around. While the 3 hole milk frother wand is quite different from the 1 hole wand I'm used to, I am having a difficult time getting used to it in comparison to the 1 hole wand. However, I managed to create a reasonable looking froth for the pictures I showed. I like this machine because it allows me to control some aspects of my espresso results, but my non-Espresso preferences tend to be more straightforward. A caring attitude Here's more information The making of- The espresso-flavored coffee Take a drink As of now You can - This is for Me and my husband are both pretty good at making them. Ultimately, what an espresso machine is for is making delicious espresso, so I figure I should take advantage of it.
