No, it's made of stainless steel, with the exception of the small turning piece at the bottom, which is made of plastic. br>The BTW milk frother is of excellent quality.
I experimented a lot with plant-based foods. based milk, and the one I discovered is hand-made Oatly oat milk Barista Edition is by far the best. It's fantastic; it tastes great and froths up just like regular milk. Before I froth, I add a dash of cinnamon and a little sweetener, and it's delicious! I also warm the milk in the microwave for a few seconds, which seems to cut down on the time it takes.
This cooks to a very high temperature. My milk must be very hot for me to drink it. I had a warm frother previously, which I exchanged for this one. It has made me very happy.
Plastic is not used in the pitcher, but it is used in the frother attachment and the cap. I'm not sure if it contains any BPA.

I was hopeful, but not overly optimistic, that this would work as advertised, having tried various methods of frothing milk, all of which resulted in frustration and limitations that I had to accept. Furthermore, my wife would not even attempt to use the other frothers I've tried in the past, preferring instead to simply use a whisk. br>br>We've had this device for almost two months and are extremely pleased with it. It works as advertised, is very easy to clean, and froths and heats the water very well. My wife doesn't use a whisk any longer, and she probably prefers it to me. That's a win in my book. br>br>UPDATEbr>While it performed admirably during its brief existence, it only lasted 6 months. There has been no response to my email to support. Reduce the number of stars from five to two.
This is a charming and practical device. I've used it to heat and foam milk a few times now, and I've gotten results that I couldn't get with an electric whisk. I have one of your pumping pitchers, but I have to heat the milk separately. br>At the touch of a button, this produced nice, thick, hot foam for my espresso drinks. I used it to heat water for soup as well, and it worked fine. It does not boil the water; rather, it heats it. br>The instructions are adequate (you won't need them all). It has a nice, solid feel to it. Oh, and if you get it, the whisk attachment is clearly visible, but the other one is stuck to the bottom of the electric base. I had to look for it for quite some time until I came across the section that told me where it was. Please accept my heartfelt gratitude.
If you've just bought it and are wondering why you didn't just get the plastic version, you're not alone. BPA-free is important, but why spend money on a frother that only produces small foamy bubbles? So, I've experimented for you, and now I'll tell you about it. I began with low-fat milk and a few spoonfuls of half-and-half. It only managed to produce a few bubbles. I even tried running it for a longer period of time, but it didn't help. So I decided to try whole milk on its own. Again, not much to report. Then a cup of whole milk with a dash of half-and-half. Finally, it was exactly what I expected, but I can't afford all that saturated fat on a daily basis because I drink two cups of coffee a day. So I used Trader Joe's brand refrigerated almond milk until the kettle reached the minimum line, then added a little reduced fat milk and a spoon or two of half and half. This was the key to unlocking the secret code. Every cup is now thick and full, almost as if it were whipped cream. The coffee experience has just been elevated to a whole new level.
I couldn't be more pleased. This is the end result of a long search for a low-cost frother with all of the features I required. Advantages: br>br> The frother's clever design, which includes a stainless steel pitcher, takes up very little drainboard space and looks great when left out. The wide mouth of the pitcher makes cleaning a breeze, but I usually just rinse and swish when I use it. This frother allows you to froth one drink at a time or multiple drinks at once, i. e. It has a larger capacity than most, and the milk is heated so that it is hot enough in a beverage without scalding or scorching the bottom of the container. I hoped for an all-inclusive package, but it was not to be. Because of the health risks associated with heating in plastic, stainless containers are used. The feel of this pitcher is nice and solid. When it's finished, it frosts nicely and has a nice single tone. If you don't want as much froth or heat, simply remove the pitcher from the base before it "dings," and the base will turn itself off. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. None. Observation: br>br>Understanding: br>br>Understanding: br>b This small appliance has such a nice appearance that it's easy to overlook the fact that the base is a HEATER. Just after the pitcher has frothed, remove it from the heat source. The base of the pitcher is hot, and it's been heated. So, when you pick up the pitcher right after it dings, treat the bottom of the pitcher with the same care you would a sauce pan you've just lifted off a hot burner. When I'm not pouring from it or rinsing it out, I make it a policy to just leave the pitcher alone on the base.
I've only used the machine to make hot chocolate so far, but the results are fantastic. I haven't tried making it with a powdered mix; instead, I've used low-fat chocolate milk. The end result is delectable. In just a few minutes, you can make plenty of froth for at least two people. It's not quite as good as the hot chocolate from the old vending machines, but no hot chocolate is, at least not in my opinion. This device will be used in the summer to froth cold milk. It's simple to clean up afterward. Despite the fact that the carafe and lid are dishwasher safe, I hand wash them after each use. To combat the cold, I prefer my coffee and cocoa to be piping hot. While this machine does not produce a particularly hot drink, it is extremely warm, to the point where my tongue is almost burned. I'm so happy with the product that I've begun recommending it to friends and family.
This review has been in the works for a long time. This is an amazing device. Cleaning is simple and reliable. Almond, skim, or whole milk can be used to make the froth, which holds up well. The benefit is the amount of milk you can froth at once, which ranges from just under the top of the black frothing attachment (perfect for a latte) to enough for several cups. I would strongly suggest it.
I couldn't be more pleased. This was incredibly simple to use and maintain! It has a very modern appearance. I would definitely recommend this product because it is of excellent quality.
