Questions & Answers

Would it be possible to tell me how long it takes to pull two shots? I'm considering a cart for coffee. ?

takes no time at all to pull off two It could take up to 20 seconds. It takes about 10 minutes to heat the water, and then you have to wait until the unit cools enough to remove the cap on the reservoir before you can add water. A coffee cart like that would be a very poor choice!

My company has 50 people, so I'm thinking of a coffee cart. There are six waves of them, starting with the youngest I want to add more water when the water has cooled, so how long does it take?

That is not a good idea for a company machine. You can expect to get about eight hours out of it Depending on the technique, it can yield up to 10 cups of coffee at a time. But be careful, you have to learn this on your own. the water is not put in, then it is toast. But for those who know how to use it, it makes a great ice cream maker.

The PC-related problems have been commented upon by viewers When shooting the 8 the cartridge would only produce a few shots before becoming too hot, is that also the case with the PC-90 4 glasses of water per day In the morning, I will make 6 shots and need to know if this type of machine will be the ideal fit for me. ?

The same applies to it. There is more water in the 16 and therefore a greater volume of steam is produced. There is no difference in the heating elements. If you drink four glasses of water a day, your TBH will increase As soon as you know how to make them, you will spend 25 minutes making six doubles. It requires practice to know when to turn the switch off to allow for sufficient cooling as you make successive shots so as to avoid overheating. This is not a put coffee in, get coffee out machine, it requires a bit of skill to handle. As a result, the issue of "becoming too hot" becomes moot once you know what it is and why you avoid it. It becomes part of your technique to make good coffee to avoid shots made by too hot a machine. *br>Also, as my technique became better, I found I needed LESS coffee drunk per day as the coffee i was making provided some of the best coffee I have ever tasted. I did not want to spoil the taste of the coffee by overdoing it.

Is this machine capable of being descaled in case of hard water issues?

The answer is yes. There is a video at Seattle Coffee Gear on how to use the gear. Dezcale is what I think they were using. The distilled water I use in my machine works perfectly fine, as it does in my other machines &amp I have never experienced any problems Scaling is not an issue.

I was able to make great coffee for one year, but it broke a year later
3/5

The model we bought from Amazon in 2010 is still in good condition. It's a very enjoyable product, and we've used it daily for two weeks. My coffee was excellent, and I liked the appearance of it. Unfortunately, it became damaged after about In the end, it lasted only six more months after it was repaired. In the end we gave up and used a stovetop moka pot instead.

A leak, a leak, and more Purchase this item at your peril! A few years later the bottom part of the machine started leaking, so I was told I needed new parts, so I disposed of it
3/5

This machine is advertised as an example of Italian tradition versus modern technology, but this is not the case! As with any other espresso/cappuccino machine that leaks after a few years and becomes just a mess, this one does the same. This design has several flaws, including a metal plate and a rubber gasket at the bottom, because they are separated by a metal plate. Wear and tear over time causes the rubber gasket to wear out, resulting in leaking at the bottom And the gauge itself has other leaks as well. I am replacing it with a Beelman stove steamer, which is supposed to last 20 years without all the bells and whistles of La Pavoni, but for sure it does not leak like La Pavoni does!.

The best espresso maker on the market
5/5

Buying it for my son as a housewarming gift was a great idea. It has been my only television for over 11 years and I would be lost The espresso machine does not have an electric pump, so it is a manual one. With it, you can control how strong your pull is by applying pressure to your hands. In this case, there is an art to it, which is one of the reasons why it is so great. You make espresso the way you want, not the way the machine does. To make it, you will have to grind coffee to a very fine powder, so you will need to spend extra money on the grinder or purchase from someone with the right grinder.

You'd have to be as stubborn as a mule to get through it
5/5

You need to be patient, caring, and loving until you get the right espresso shot, as everyone else has said. There is no reason not to! It would be best to use YouTube videos to show you how to use it, rather than exactly how they did it, as it would not LOL I am so patient lol I am so patient lol.

A machine like this is gorgeous. You have complete control here, and learning the routine will be a challenge for some of us, it may be frustrating while for others, it will bring joy. You may find that the espresso begins to change your life when you finally master your technique, but you may also find that it goes back and forth until you master the art. In addition to being well-built, it is designed to last a long time and can easily be Numerous stories exist of how these machines have performed well with basic care and maintenance for 30 years or longer. A battery that is out of the box is not designed to be left on for long periods of time, or to be continuously charged. Trying to do so may cause the group head temperature to spike, which may interfere with extraction (there are mods to assist if needed). produces a relatively small amount of liquid, so I typically run a 15 mg dose and target a 12 In a 1 extraction, you can get 18 grams of the normal dose to work by adjusting the pre-extraction A technique for infusing materials. You have aftermarket shower heads, naked portafilters, ways to track extraction pressure, group head temp gauges, and PID controller mods, all of which will add to the cost, but if you want to do it yourself you can, and that may make the learning curve easier. A machine unlike an automatic or superauto machine can be very cost effective when you consider the cost over the years the machine will last. It can also reward you with skills, flexibility, and experience you won't get with an automatic or superauto.

After six months of being together, they fall apart
3/5

Are you able to pull a mean espresso with it? The answer is yes! It is not clear what the problem is yet. Here are some issues Water began to leak from the bottom of the tank gauge tube after the gasket went bad after a few months. The second point is as follows During the renovation process, the brew assembly and the tank began to leak water and steam. I was unable to get the tank to tighten and even if I did it was not easy.

The bottom line is A machine that costs $1200 should not have these issues!.

The product is designed beautifully, but its performance is questionable, and its reliability is nonexistent
3/5

As a result of the design and allure of pulling my own espresso, I was hooked. Then, after struggling to make a decent espresso I tripped my GFI. I watched all the videos on youtube, had my coffee roasted myself, etc. but nothing worked. I called the seller to ask for assistance, and they said it is likely the boiler is defective, as I may have run it with no water in it. This is not the case at all (which I did not do). My mother raised me to be a passionate home cook and I'm fairly confident I can figure out how to utilize the La Pavoni, but I haven't yet learnt how to make a decent espresso with enough My $500 Breville espresso machine is capable of making superb espresso using my home-roasted coffee, so I returned it and was going to order another one, but The espresso was excellent, and the crema was plentiful. Since I did not wish to reorder La Pavoni, I decided to pocket 1300 bucks and not reuse it. While I'm not saying I won't buy it or that my mind might not change, I'm still moving forward with the Breville for the time being.

A great machine for the family with one or two espressophiles
4/5

A minor quality control issue has been found It was determined that the plastic grate of the reservoir drain overflowed, however this had no impact on its As it is so compact, the "wand" of the steeper is a little awkward to use. This is not the machine for those who like their coffee to be waiting for them when they wake up in the morning. Certainly not the most convenient to use, but it does make great coffee, didn't I mention that? In my humble opinion, this is much better than drip coffee.
