I almost never buy something unless I've done a lot of research and read a lot of reviews first. This kettle had a nice look to it, and I was excited that it would work with my new induction stove. Despite the fact that I purchased the 40 oz. kettle, it appeared to be small. one - I did the math. I measured out 3 cups of water and placed it on my induction stove. As I watched the temperature rise to the point of boiling, it heated up quickly. The water GUSHED out of the spout all over the stove once it got close to the boiling indicator on the gauge. We're not talking about steam here; we're talking about torrential rain! It was difficult for me to believe what I was hearing. I tried it again, and the result was the same. It came with a thin rubber cap for the spout end, but I doubt it would keep gushing water at bay. It's far too risky and messy. I'm not sure how this design is supposed to function. Is it because the induction range heats up so quickly? Temperatures are just that: they are temperatures. I should have bought the Coffee Gator, which has received a lot of positive feedback, but I wanted the red. (What does Coffee Gator not have in red?) ) The Coffee Gator spout appears to engage higher up in the kettle (near the third band), according to my understanding. I've learned a valuable lesson here. Mine was returned to me today.

I just received my kettle, and it appears to be in good condition. However, the top of the box states that only the silver version is suitable for use on gas stoves. I assume it's because the colors will fade if they're exposed to flame. I'll give it a try to see if the seller's claim that all colors are safe to use with gas is correct.

(I use a gas stovetop. ) I've been using this kettle every day since I got it, and it's amazing how well it works. This is what I use in my Chemex, and it helps to even out the pour and bring out the flavor of the grounds. I've been heating it on my gas stovetop and haven't had any issues with discoloration or bottom burning. I keep it at a low volume - The water boils quickly over medium heat. I only have to wait a few minutes for the water to reach 200 degrees, which is widely considered to be the ideal pouring temperature. over. The only drawback is that it doesn't hold heat very well, so I have to reboil when I'm ready for another cup, but that's not a problem for me; it's just something to consider if it bothers you.

It's a little smaller than I expected, as you can see, and it's smaller than the smallest burner on my stove, but it held enough water for two cups, and the water temperature rose quickly to hot without the burner being turned on high. The kettle maintained the temperature for a long time, making it a good option for just me.

It's a bargain. The first time I used it, it smelled like something was burning, and the bottom plate had some sort of black goo oozing out of it. I believe the cause was the melting of the glue. The holes in the body for the handle meant that steam would be sprayed onto my hand as I tried to pour. Furthermore, despite thoroughly boiling the water in the kettle, the thermometer never rose above 200 degrees.

This is an ideal tool for coffee enthusiasts who are new to the hobby or have some experience with it. The water portion is the ideal size for almost any pour-over. over the container for the method I had my doubts about the size and quality of this item because most similar items on the internet are overpriced and lacking in. structural integrity, to be sure. The thermometer's convenience is undeniable, but its needle-like accuracy is a major drawback. When cleaning and after cleaning, keep an eye out for things like protrusion. However, in the case of 16, 00 dollars has proven to be the best investment I've ever made in my coffee-making process. When my current one breaks, I'll be purchasing another. (I clean it easily, but the gooseneck I soak for a few hours in a low water level mixed with vinegar and scrub with a straw cleaner. ) ) But that's just my opinion; to each his or her own.

The Thermometer is by far the most useful feature! I'm a coffee connoisseur who is extremely particular about the temperature of my brew. I've gone through a few different coffee machines in search of a solution to the temperature problem. My coffee is being made by hand. The issue has been resolved! This kettle has a modern design that looks great on the stove. It's just a matter of keeping an eye on it because it doesn't blow.

I've been making pourovers with a Clever coffee dripper using this kettle for the past few months. So far, I haven't had any issues with it, and I'm satisfied. br>br>It's a lovely deep red color that looks great on the stove. The thermometer lid is weighted so that when you remove it, you can easily flip it over on its head and it will stay put. When you're still waking up and don't want your kettle lid to roll off your counter top, this is a handy feature. It also fits snugly in the kettle but is simple to insert and remove. br>br>The spout appears to be delicate, so I take extra care when washing it. In addition, I only turn the burner high enough to keep the flame beneath the kettle rather than lapping up the sides. br>br>The handle is secure and grippy, and the spout flow rate is just right to give you complete control over where and how much water is dispensed. Overall. While pouring, it has a well-balanced feel. br>br>I compared the thermometer's accuracy to that of a steaming milk thermometer I have. I inserted both and adjusted the milk thermometer's probe depth to around 2 cm below the water level, the same as the kettle's, and they were within a centimeter of each other; however, the kettle's probe was forced to be at an angle, whereas the milk thermometer's probe was pointed more vertically. Despite this, the two thermometers remained within 2 degrees F throughout the heating process. And, as the water cools, they're still in roughly the same place. No, it's not exactly scientific, but I'm confident that this kettle's thermometer isn't completely useless. br>br>Longevity is yet to be determined, but overall, this is exactly what I was looking for.
