To make sure that parts are available in case things break, I looked for a coffee maker that has parts available. It has happened to me a few times in the past few years that something or other goes wrong and you have to toss everything in the trash. There are still parts available for this Moccamaster and they have been making this machine for years. The warranty is five years, plus the parts are easy to find. The machine's performance is outstanding because it's so quiet, it heats the water up quickly, it doesn't steam out any water, and the coffee is heated at the right temperature for maximum flavor extraction. It's so easy to use that anyone can do it! Although this was a splurge buy, there are other machines that are equally capable as the Moccamaster 53941 KBGV, I liked the overall simplicity, quietness and speed of this machine, as well as the retro style. I like that! As well as the one you might buy, I would also recommend an investment in a grinder if you are looking to maximize flavor.
