Questions & Answers

Approximately how many ounces is the pot capable of holding? Six cups of five ounces or eight? What is the serving size of the cups? If you could tell me how many ounces the pot can hold without spilling over (not the cone), I would really appreciate it. I appreciate it. ?

The total volume of the pot, although I do not have the pot at my current location to check it for sure, should be 36 ounces since they consider a "cup" to be 6 ounces in size. Using the pour over method, I have the level with the level of two twelve ounce cups exactly at the level of four cups, which from memory is about half way there, so you should get at least 36 ounces if not a little more than that with the We can check on it for you beginning next week if you need to know the exact number. It is a handy little mug carafe that works great for making a couple large mugs of coffee at a time, and the #4 Melitta or #2 Hario cones work great

Can you tell me how many holes there ?

In the cone, there is only one hole.

Can you tell me if this product is made in the United States?

The Melitta line I recommend to anyone looking to Buy American is because they employ people right here in the US, and they make awesome, quality products. Items made by hand. Even though they may not be made here, most of the electric kitchen items now are junk. I can't find any information one way or the other about the carafe set online, so it is hard to say. A German company, Melitta, focuses on thermal management services. Paper filter manufacturing is done at a plant in Clearwater, A coffee roastery is located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. My electric tea kettle box, which I used to have, was not with me, so I don't know where it comes from. They make a wide range of coffee and tea makers. Prior to that, it was functioning until about 2013). My electric kettle lasted 4 months before I had to replace it with another one. I know of no other one that lasts that long. It was thrown away in the last The Melitta kettle I'm getting next will be my second.

Can you tell me what type of filtering system you're using?

The Melitta #4 filters are used in our lab. Each of these can handle four The drip brew makes 6 cups of coffee.

Making a delicious pot (or cup) of coffee has never been easier, cheaper, or foolproof
5/5

There are thousands of expensive and complicated ways to make coffee at home, and I chuckle when I see them. You will not find a simpler or more inexpensive way to make your coffee than this Melitta system, and it makes an excellent cup (or pot)! For making coffee, you do not need any electronic equipment. This does not require pods or any other pre-packaged items A measure of food (so overpriced and wasteful of food). There is no need to prove to your friends that you are a sophisticated barista. You get a carafe (a simple glass container) you get a cup of coffee that is traditionally brewed in America (rather than espresso, latte, cappuccino, etc. ) There is a plastic cone on top, a paper filter within the cone, some ground coffee inside the filter, and hot water poured over it all. There is no need to be perfect about putting too much or too little coffee grounds in the coffee maker (and it won't matter that much if your measuring is There are several items included in the basic package, including the glass carafe, the plastic cone, and a few nos. You can choose from 4 different sized (The filters are available for refill at just a few pennies each at many stores. It is not necessary to use Melitta filters you can use any other filter you choose). There is very little cleaning required for the carafe. The top tray is dishwasher-safe only (not the lower tray), (much easier to use than, for instance, the Chemex coffee maker). There is no fuss, no muss.

I also have a Melitta plastic cone for one cup - it works every time. These are great since you can place it directly on to your coffee cup, use a smaller cup The coffee can then be made directly into your cup with a 2 size) paper filter. What a convenient thing to have. I'm a coffee fanatic who has to have a cup of coffee first thing in the morning to kick off the day. There's no other coffee maker I trust more than my Melitta. The way people go out of their way to get more complex coffee makers is hilarious to me. There could be a reason for it because kitchen supply stores like Sur Le Table and Bed Bath & Beyond often discount their products The Beyond, Williams & Company Shops like Sonoma, etc. tend to carry more expensive items. would they make if they sold you this item, which is only A strong word. After a few years, it is not uncommon for the surface to chip or break. You will break it if you drop it, for instance). There's a price to pay for that, however It is inexpensive, so it would be a good buy. This will not be a problem - just buy a new one after it There's really no need to worry about it.

In alphabetical order Here is an update from one year ago This thing has been in constant use for a long time now The time for year has passed and we continue to enjoy our pour-over It has been over brewed
5/5

It was the best purchase I have ever made! When I was a coffee drinker, I used to enjoy As a brewer addict, I adore this little device! The weekend of Labor Day weekend, my husband and I went camping with our family of six. It was not an option to go without a reliable way to brew coffee with four kids in tow! Having hated instant coffee for so long, I needed to find another The idea of using a percolator intrigued me, but I was worried about grinds. I hate that! In order to filter out the noise, I would definitely My first consideration was the Coleman propane powered camping coffee maker. However, this is a bit pricy and also needs a lot of fuel to run. This is the top of the pyramid. Inverter for kitchen appliances, hoping it would allow me to use coffee maker and other appliances on any power source You can take my car battery off for it. Inverters aren't designed for wattages I need, so I bought the wrong inverter. I came across this "pour over" brewer just as I was about to give up. This is such a primitive device, it's gorgeous! Just add filters for a touch of class You don't have to worry about the grit Grinding) Measure out the batch as you normally would. Put boiling water into a mug and enjoy! Please click here to download the full text of this article. There is no E in it You may be recognized as an I. I applaud you for the flavor/quality of your brew, and your B+ This is a very important factor. I am unaware of the science behind why, but it does! I love it. You want to pour a small amount of boiled water over the grinds, then wait for them to foam up for about 30 seconds before continuing. In the event that you skip this step and do not "bloom" the grinds, water will pool up all the way to the filter basket, drain rapidly, and will not clean well at all. Adding the grinds to a room gives you reddish/brown, bland, unpleasant smelling walls It is a soup called Doo Soup. Spend the time you have on something more meaningful. The grinds are in bloom! In any case, we have been loving this coffee maker a lot. We enjoyed it so much that it "made" our trip. Our standard kitchen machine doesn't give us the same flavor as the one on this.

am absolutely in love with No need to worry about power outages when it comes to this coffee maker
5/5

am absolutely in love with I spent $10 and it was the best I have To use in case we lose power during a hurricane, I bought this for my hurricane kit. It is a method of boiling water over coffee grounds on the propane grill then pouring it over the The last time I used one of these was about a decade ago, but I've become addicted to my Keurig. It is a damn good idea to use this even if I don't have an outage. The flavor of my favorite coffee was not available for my Keurig today, so I tried it with regular coffee instead. I found it to be extremely tasty! Throughout the process, it seemed to move very quickly. We put two scoops of coffee in a filter, poured 6 ounces of water over it, and it was ready as soon as the water drained through the filter. Explosions are a serious threat! You're in danger! The second time I used this pot (yesterday), I placed it on the lowest gas burner I had and used a wire separator to keep it from touching the glass
3/5

I repeated the same procedure I had used the day before. Upon walking out of the kitchen, I looked like a giant jug of coffee and little pieces of glass had exploded all over the floor. By the force of the flying glass, I could have been injured or even blinded if I had been in the kitchen. Pour-Up has been a valuable tool for me I have never had trouble with pots before, so I was not expecting a problem with this one. Especially not an explosion at full strength. You need to remember that it did not simply During the blast, it was shattered to pieces. It is time for the company to recall this product!.
