The bung is a tiny universal stopper with the following dimensions: Diameter at the top Diameter at the bottom: 56" 156". This stopper will fit most glass carboys with a capacity of 5 to 6 gallons. I bought this as a starter kit for making fruit wine, and while the booklet was helpful, it could have been a little more detailed, and the kit should have included all of the ingredients (minus the fruit) to make any of the recipes in the booklet. Campden tablets are required in each recipe, but they were not included in the kit. Some recipes call for an ingredient called "energizer," which was also missing from the kit.
They forgot to include campden in the equation.
But, while I like the price for the quantity of items, I didn't like that it didn't come with any instructions and that it was missing a few key components to be considered a complete wine-making kit.
This is a fantastic collection of essentials.
I'm looking forward to receiving my first bottle of wine.
