BLUE OAK STAVES - These reclaimed barrel staves are made from reclaimed oak staves of used whiskey and bourbon barrels from the heart of Bourbon Country, Kentucky. Each stave is exactly the same as when it was made. The interior of the building was heavily charred and the exterior was stained and dark in color

In a nutshell It's a big disappointment. As I opened the box, I could see there would be dirt inside, but it came out in a big clump. The surface of some of the items cracked, and will need extensive sanding to become It is a total rip-off to charge $60! It would have been better to throw these out instead of selling them. It is not necessary to buy firewood unless it is needed. There is already a lot of damage done to them. Projects that require indoor use are not suitable. As well as being thin, they are difficult to imagine a wine barrel stave among them.

We were surprised by the speed of shipping, and the staves are nice and clean - so that was a pleasant surprise. The surface of these looks like it may have been sanded to clean them The oak is a nice light color so I can use them as is or with a little clear coat or stain to get the depth I want. I will use them for vertical lettering - an idea that I got from my mom. This is a project for personal use. It might be an idea to include them in my collection for home craft paint parties that I have. Sizes can vary depending on the type. Not too narrow as to be useless, but not too wide to be useful.

The headboard! Definitely make sure you read the description before you order because these are dirty (like really dirty), but sanding it and smelling the sweet, heavenly scent of bourbon is In addition, the description did not let me down - It was great to have a variety of sizes available for any project you may want to do. There is no doubt that this is a must-purchase.

Just for the sake of smelling the bourbon, one should get dirty

It would make an excellent centerpiece for most any stave project!
A stave cost five bucks, two tea candles cost two bucks, and a couple of coats of shellac, poly, or lacquer totals $50. It's really nice to give these as gifts to friends and family. The char must be controlled by cleaning the staves. These are 'raw' staves. As you are drilling or cutting these, the distinctive aroma of Kentucky bourbon fills the room.

I am making a liquor cabinet out of these. In addition to being thoroughly blackened (from the inside), the staves are also completely charred. In my case, I'm trying to encapsulate a character Could you please tell me more about easily if you go that route.
