If you don't know how long to soak it, soak it for two minutes. The plastic will, however, discolor when exposed to this
Having said that, I see no reason why it shouldn't In white plastic brewing buckets, if sanitizer is left in too long, it will darken them. Not sure what type of silicon is in them.
According to my understanding, it is iodine, not a chemical. The amount that you use is only a TBSP for four or five days There are five gallons in each container. The best way to become too strong is to become too weak.

I don't really have a lot to add to this. With this product, you just need to dilute it with water, spray it down, and in just a few minutes it will be It's BOOM! You don't have to rinse this product! In our fermentation chambers, our crock pots, and even in our meat grinders, we use this type of material. It is used on our cheese making supplies, on stills when making wine, and all kinds of other things. There is no foam in this product. Regardless of what solution you prepare, it must be used within 24 hours. Since I am very conscientious about using the solution quickly, I rarely make more than I need at a given time.
In the battle between Iodophor and In terms of description, San is better than Bleach. There's no need to worry. There is no need to use powdered brewery wash since one bottle lasts a lifetime. It is clean to use PBW. The chemical iodophor is sanitizing. Having shaken up a splash of Iodophor with half a gallon of water, I pour a gallon of water over Spray bottles can be used by some people to apply. There is only one big competitor to it, and that is Star - This is San. As an alternative to bleach, both products can be used. The following comparison shows how they compare. This is Iodophor Please note
There has been a huge increase in price over the past decade. The cost is still lower than Star Please note
There is an odor that can turn off people. The scent is weak and cannot be noticed once it has been In addition, it doesn't smell bad at all* The color of plastics may be stained. Once again, it will likely be brewing stuff anyways, and the staining is almost impossible to notice if the proportions are created correctly. Added to that, moving to glass is a much better idea! Please note
Keeping the goods exposed to air over the long term is not advisable. However, this container can be used to store it. In addition, the solution is cheap enough that it can just be discarded Please note
A stain can be left on clothes* - The indicator will tell you where to clean if you put it in a bucket. In the presence of iodine, sugars develop a bluish colour. When you wipe the bottom of your bucket with a soft cloth, you will see where the crud needs to be removed. The Star- I am San. Please note
Slimy residue can be left in bottles* - There is a decent amount of foam. It can be helpful in coating stuff, but it is also quite Please note
It is more expensive (works out to just 30 cents per batch). As I understand it, it sanitizes more quickly. They are acidic in nature. It is therefore best to avoid soft metals. Using it in kegs is not an option for me. Kegs are a common use for it. In summary, Bleach Please note
I have stains*- It is imperative to rinse
- The product is not suitable for stainless steel kegs- It is possible for bleach to produce chlorophenol if left behind Despite the fact I prefer Iodophor when it comes to brewing, I still prefer the flavor of a wet Band-Aid. Sanitizers of this quality are a good choice for industrial settings.
It is the first step I take before making a batch of beer every time. The time and money I invested in my 7 is too much. It is best to work in 5 gallon batches to minimize contamination risks. The amount of BTF32 I use goes a long way, and since I began using it, I have never had a batch fail because of contamination. BTF32 is soaked into everything, utensils, cook pot, siphon hoses, fermentor, keg etc. , then the system is rinsed and nothing is left behind. You've got some great stuff there! You must use it if you are a home brewer.
The product works as advertised, I saved a few dollars compared to my local homebrew supply store, and it was delivered to my doorstep. In comparison to sudsy stuff, iodine based sanitizer does tend to leave a bit of stain on buckets and the sink I use to sterilize bottles (for which it is not recommended). After cleaning it up with bleach water, you can use a little water to put it back together.
My opinion is that it's the best.
In my garage, I bought this to eliminate grease and grime and the product seems to do the job, but the top fell off when I received it. That item is considered to have a long-term shelf life when it is in a 8 pound container.
The product does not fry chicken, but sanitizes my brewing equipment otherwise. That is what should be done Keeping things clean. Could you please let me know what else I can.
My first introduction to it was while I was working as a professional brewer, and I use it for regular household sanitation. When bottling maple syrup and sanitizing jars before hot packing, a good cleaning is extremely important. Exactly what I wanted!.
