There are 3 different band sizes. They are 1/16", 3/16", and 1/8" - so I love having the extra long roller but the band measurements on the website are incorrect. In the description, the 1/4" is stated to be included, but this is not included in I am a little disappointed since now I need to spend more money to acquire.
Here are some photos I attached. On the back of the packaging, I believe they were aiming for some sort of sunset look. This looked like the packaging was done on a home printer from 1992. This is a rolling pin for dough, not a rolling pin for wine. I love it. As a matter of fact, I was particularly angry because I purchased this based on the description which stated that it was The photo shows a pixelated print that directs you to hand wash the item. After I bought this, I went on to buy a similar item in Wilton for a third of the price, and gave it This is yucky. False advertising is also a problem. This is fine if you're using garden tools or something like that, but I would not use it on.
My attitude before purchasing this rolling pin was that I needed a longer one to accommodate the taller cake, but I guess I should have just gotten whatever I saw because size does not matter if it's I found that it made the fondant uneven, didn't roll flat, and irritated me, but I was in a rush and did not have time to get another.
It turns out the wooden rolling pins I had weren't very helpful to roll out the fondant, as I'm new to making it. You can use this rolling pin to do the job. I've used it to make a fondant coating for my cake, and it doesn't stick, the rings make it easy for me to make even coating, and it is long enough to roll a large circle without creases or dent. This appears to be a well-constructed product.
I really like the product. It is a good value for a reasonable price. The roll has smooth edges, heavy weight plastic (not hollow) and good thickness guides. Although this roller costs twice as much as the Wilton roller, I honestly cannot tell the difference between them.
At the cake supply shop, this was the same item that you get for the same price.
It's easy to use and adjusts quite easily for fondant thickness. It's solidly constructed and well made. The prices are a little high for plastic,.
This product seems like it would be a good fit if you needed extra length for your roller.
