The brushes perform admirably and are reasonably priced. I was taken aback by how floppy and soft the bristles are. Not a firm grip. They're fine for that because I mostly use them to brush olive oil into pans before frying. However, there is one cautionary note, which is why I docked a star. AdeptChef is one of an increasing number of Amazon sellers who send a lot of follow-up emails. buyers with follow-up emails pleading for a favorable review Worse, clicking the "unsubscribe" link in the email to stop receiving future emails results in an error message. Not good. As a result, I will not be purchasing from them in the future (and have added them to my spam folder).

When I'm baking and need to give something a buttery finish after it comes out of the oven, I reach for these brushes. In the few months that I've had these brushes, they've performed admirably. Unfortunately, you must first check that the brush's head is securely attached to the handle before using it. After a few uses, they appear to loosen up. So far, I've been able to use them; however, they may need to be pushed together first. I still recommend them; however, I wish they were a little more securely attached to the handle.

These pastry brushes are one of my favorites. I'm a baker, and we all know that a good quality pastry brush is a baker's best friend. Before now, I had never owned a silicone brush. Yes, I'm a reformed snob when it comes to pastry brushes! I recently purchased a very expensive natural boar bristle pastry brush, which was my last, and it worked well the first time, but by the third use, I was discarding my baked goods because they were covered in hairs. (NOT GOOD)br>br>Then I came across these tiny gems. I adore them, absolutely adore them, adore them, adore them, adore them, adore them, Yes, I was skeptical of the price (I'm not used to finding such good deals), but I was completely mistaken. I've put these bad boys through the dishwasher a few times now. (Yes, there will be no more hand washing!) ) They're perfect; I love how they work, how simple they are to clean, and how clean they are. Oh, and they're a lot easier to clean than a natural bristle brush if you do wash them by hand. I'm also a big fan of the colors. I'm going to go out and buy another set just in case! You'll adore these, I promise! I won't go so far as to say that these pastry brushes will completely transform your life. BUT YOU CAN NEVER BE SURE! ) (remember, it's the little things in life that count, and these little dandy's are one of them) If you have a kitchen or know someone who does, BUY THESE! I'm going to get a bunch of them for Christmas stocking stuffers.

It's a lot better than straw- Basting Brushes are an example of this type of tool. For Christmas in 2020, I purchased a set of these for my husband. They're very easy to clean, and unlike the basting brushes that look like or may be made of those straw-like materials, there's no food residue left on them. such as the material used in the manufacture of some paint brushes I've never been convinced that we've actually gotten the straw. as if the brushes were completely clean I was concerned about possible food contamination as a result of this. Moreover, straws are frequently used. While basting, the bristles of like ones would frequently become stuck in the food. These basting brushes, on the other hand, aren't going to cut it. These brushes also detach from the handles, allowing for thorough cleaning and drying of the brush heads and handles. There is no leaking of old dishwater or food from the joint between the handle and the brush. I ordered a set for my mother-in-law yesterday, June 4th, and it arrived today. law. I don't want anyone to become ill as a result of a dirty basting brush.

We had one OXO basting brush, which was great but had to be cleaned every time we used it, and cleaning it by hand is difficult, so we bought this AdeptChef set, which we love. One is used and then thrown away in the dishwasher. That leaves us with three more to use before we have to clean one (4 if you count the OXO), and by that time, the dishwasher is usually full enough to run a cycle. The brush heads are made of a soft, flexible material. My only warning is that the brush head does detach from the handle, so be cautious. Apart from that, they're fantastic.

They're a good deal, so go ahead and buy them and give them a try. The price is excellent, and the quality has been excellent thus far. I like having different colors so I can use the brushes for different things like butter/fats, BBQ sauces, egg wash, and so on. It's not like it matters, but most brushes will pick up odors from the foods they're used with. I'm not sure if this material will accomplish that, but why should you be concerned? br>The 'bristles' allow for a very smooth baste flow and also hold a lot of liquid, so you don't have to dip as much as you would with regular basting brushes. I like how soft they are and how little pressure is required to coat whatever you're using them for properly. One was used to make a butter-based dish. corn flour The dough was not disturbed in the least by an egg wash on some very tender rolls.

I've been using the same paint-brush for years. Basting brushes with a brush style or long, white twisted wire nylon bristle brushes. Hairs fell out of the natural brushes. The nylon brushes weren't very good at coating and were difficult to clean. These are fantastic. I brushed BBQ sauce on my baby back ribs with one of them last night. It does a good job of holding sauce and dispersing it evenly. However, use caution when applying sauce. If you're not careful, they can splatter sauce all over the place. My favorite part was the cleanup; they were so easy to clean that I couldn't believe it. If you haven't yet upgraded to silicone, now is the time. You will not be sorry.

I've only used them a couple of times so far, but they're fantastic! We used to buy pastry brushes with wooden handles, but I found that the wood became gross after a while (and was also more difficult to clean). I was worried that using silicone on softer breads would be too rough, but they're perfect and SO much easier to clean.
