This is a fantastic grip! Anything made of wood that is placed in the dishwasher, however, will dry out and become splitty. Do not harm it in this way. This baster's head is designed to pop off for dishwasher use, and it fits back on the handle perfectly. (This isn't always obvious. ) )br>br>One of my favorite features of this handle is that it's a great 3/4" muddler! It comes to a smooth, barely-there conclusion. Many people would describe it as flat, but it is slightly convexed. br>br>This isn't a teeny-tiny basting brush. 2" in diameter and nearly 1" thick in the center. However, I tried dabbing oil onto crushed panko breading on chicken tenders right before putting them in the Air Fryer, and it worked perfectly. I also use Better 'n Boullion paste for stocks that are difficult to dissolve in cold water (but that I want to be able to use), and this basting brush worked perfectly as a "whisk" for it. This tool is fantastic! br>br> It's a definite keeper for me, thanks to the hidden multi-purpose features. taskies.
This holds sauces and oils well and evenly distributes them on baking dishes as well as meats and foods. The silicone end is still in tact. This Caribbean set recently replaced all of my Le Creuset utensils in Cassis color. I never had an issue with the old set, and I haven't had any problems with the new set either. It's best to rub mineral oil into the handles to keep them from drying out and splintering. Mine has been in excellent condition for years, and the oil also improves the color of the wood. Good-quality utensils that last a long time, even when washed in the dishwasher (without heated drying, due to the wood).
neeext!.
It's also incredibly simple to clean up afterward - It's a lot less work than using traditional bristle basting brushes. It's a good size, and my wife and I are both pleased with our purchase. br>br>Would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys grilling.
I like how the brush can be removed for a thorough cleaning.
The material is excellent, and it was simple to clean in the sink. I'm not sure if it's dishwasher safe, but I'd recommend hand washing only in any case.
I assumed that because it was a Le Creuset item, it would be of excellent quality. But, to be honest, I was underwhelmed. The wooden handle has a low quality feel to it, as if you're about to get a splinter while holding it. The silicon brush is fantastic and very effective, as well as being very easy to clean. It does the job, but the handle gives me the creeps.
It was a pleasant surprise that it was not more costly.
