There is a depth of 2 inches in this pie pan. It is 4 inches long. I believe this is enough if you want to make a deep pie.
From the inside out, it is a pure white glaze.
Considering it is made out of stoneware, it can be safely baked at 500 degrees. 2,000 degrees is the point at which stoneware itself becomes hard. Putting a pan directly on top of and storing your dish in the oven while baking other items or putting it in the oven while it is still warm can create thermal shock and break your dish.

A deep dish pie dish was exactly what I was looking for. I used it for apple pie and chicken pot pie. It was easy to clean and I expect it will last for years to come. color and finish are excellent. The overall purchase was a great one at a very reasonable price.
For making it, you will need a 10 inch ceramic pie plate. There are no hot spots or cracks in it, and the ceramic is both nonstick and The sky blue is such a beautiful color and it makes the pie pan super special.
As well as being durable and easy to clean, it has a solid construction. This is a good size. We have used it for both an apple pie and a chicken pot pie.
