Questions & Answers

This donut pan can be used with regular cake mix, Duncan Hines and so forth. ?

It's easy to bake donuts from cake mix with applesauce and one box of cake mix. Mix two cups applesauce with one box of cake mix and you've got homemade donuts. Make sure pan is lightly greased and the oven is preheated. Put the pan in the oven at 425F for ten minutes You should wait 15 minutes for the donuts to firmly spring back when you press them. A glaze made by melting store bought frosting in the microwave and then dabbing, dipping, or dunking it over the cake helps to cut down on idle time. Let the cake sit in the pan for 5 minutes before removing it. Depending on your preferences, you can then glaze and add toppings. Adding toppings to the glaze while it is still warm will yield the best results.

Despite the rounded tops on the doughnuts, I cannot figure out how the doughnuts come out. On top of the first pan, do you put a second one? Could this be used to make muffins just like a muffin pan?

My name is Book Lover #52 and I love books. As a result of my doughnut making, they were round. Your recipe calls for baking powder or whatever rising agents you are using. You don't need a second pan - just use one. Put the filling in the muffin tin just like you would. According to the recipe, I was to fill the holes with 2/3 of the way I really like the way they came out.

Does the diameter of the donut matter? I need something about 2" in size or slightly bigger. ?

My measurement was just how far one side of the donuts was from the other. I use them all the time. I find them to be the perfect size.

They do not contain any fat or oil, so do they taste like real donuts? Would muffins be a better description?

There were some strange responses you got from people. Baked and fried donuts are two different types of donuts. As these are baked in a pan, the donuts won't taste like metal as baked donuts are always baked that way. If you wish to make fried donuts, you do not have to use A Dutch oven is used to cook the dough and then fry them. Donuts fried in oil are a lot harder to make than fried in batter.

The nonstick pan is wonderful
5/5

The doughnut pan did not disappoint me as it is my very first one. So far, I have cooked two batches with the nonstick coating and it has performed well so far. Although the doughnuts are skinnier than what you would normally find in a bakery, that's no big deal at all they still don't look bad. Fill each well with 33% of the way full, and you'll always get perfect-sized doughnuts.

Use a nonstick spray only if you want it to be nonstick
3/5

I'll be honest here. Nonstick? What does that Since I know I won't be baking with the pans stuck together, whatever I cook, I will be guaranteed that it won't happen. The splash could possibly indicate I could use a nonstick spray, but that is My daughter and I enjoyed a batch of coffee doughnuts last night. I usually use a nonstick spray, but ran out last night and decided to just brush the pan with The oil pooled at the bottom of the molds since the pan was nonstick. It is hard for the doughnuts to come out of the pan after they are baked. My attempts to let them go have only resulted in them snapping and tearing. Despite trying to grease a non-stick pan, this is what my doughnuts looked like after I attempted to make them. The nonstick pan doesn't require a lot of grease, so I just decided to not I had a problem with all my doughnuts sticking together. My apologies Wilton, I am a huge fan of your nonstick pans and will continue to use them generously with I think that the pan should be called 6- just because it makes more sense to me The nonstick surface of the cavity pan does not make them suitable for donuts. Their effect is lasting.

I took a chance on a purchase that turned out to be a great buy
5/5

The pan for baking donuts arrived yesterday. I am very happy to be able to make them. The first batch of baked donuts my husband made before I did anything this morning came from my husband. His favorite part of the day is waking up early. Although I ordered the Donut Pan, I think my husband is even more excited about it than I am now! With the pan that came with it, he made the recipe that was included. In the final stages of baking, when the donuts had come out of the pan, he applied melted butter lightly to both sides using a pastry brush. A shallow bowl of cinnamon & sugar was filled with each one, and he did not hesitate to dip each one in it A sugary substance. It had been pointed out to me that there are a lot of muffin-type types of cakes There were donuts that tasted like something between a muffin and a That way, we were mentally prepared in case the donut experience didn't turn out to be what we wanted. As for the temperature, we thought it was more like 80 degrees Cake 90 percent of the time Describe the style of Despite the difficulties, the outcome has been very positive. Many people enjoy donuts, but they are not as common as they used to be due to their Although he lightly brushed on the butter, we know these are low in fat, due to their low fat content. Aren't you going to have to have something to adhere the cinnamon/sugar or powered sugar to the donut? Since I am a homemaker with two adult children, I have been cooking for a long time. To us, the baked donut was an entirely new concept I am now on board with you! Donuts from this bakery are a little smaller than traditional donuts. A little more than that, though. It wasn't a problem - I had two with coffee this morning, guilt-free! This recipe sounds yummy, and I am looking forward to trying more! This is important BLEND ONLY TILL INGREDIENTS ARE MIXED in your batter, and do not over mix it. WHEN THE DONUTS ARE OVER STIRRED, THEY WILL BE TOO TOUGH AND.

It would have been great if I had ordered two You're the best! Fast and neat shipping was provided for the item
5/5

After receiving this pan, my wife and I made donuts using the recipe that came with it on the first Saturday after receiving it. It didn't work out with cake flour, but regular flour worked just fine and they tasted fantastic! The first batch I made made too much batter, but that was my fault, not the pan! There is a slight difference between the surface of the donuts on one side, but if you cover it in frosting or glaze, it is It's so yummy to eat them! Our family has been using it almost every Saturday morning for a while now, and it washes well! Like the headline says, it was a great buy! I wish I would have ordered two.

The pan is great! A donut pan like this is very nice
5/5

My little family can make a delicious batch of donuts in this perfectly sized container. I've never had an issue with anything sticking to this pan, and I've forgotten to spray it before baking donuts once or twice. Each time I was worried they would stick, but they always came out easily. With just a bit of room on each end, it can be held with a hot pad without getting any cloth on the sides. Easily cleanable, good weight and comfortably large enough for two hot pads on each end. It would be my first choice if I had to buy another pan! Besides me, the only person in my house who loves this pan more than I do is my four year old son, who grabs it from the cupboard, places it behind my back and says "hey mom" as he does so. A thought has occurred to me.
