In the past, Pyrex products have been covered by other products that also claimed strength, durability, etc. Obviously, they have been purchased because they are needed. The more I read about just how durable they are and how fine they are to use in a microwave, the more I become confident about their use. For myself, I might reheat leftovers with it. Although I have been hesitant (as a matter of fact. The power will not enable me to do that). It is so. As of right now, I don't know of any other substitute product that will do as well as these. It cracked after I used it for a while. I've had no problems with this purchase and am satisfied with it. It was great to have so many colors to choose from.
