Questions & Answers
You are not in need of one. This cooks the balls quickly, and it may take a few attempts to avoid burning them because you must keep an eye on them. Everything would be burned if it had a lid.
There is no cover on the container.
No, because it's nonstick, you can just wipe it down with a washcloth or sponge.
Please give it back to me.

I've only used it once. The final product was satisfactory. If you've never made Takoyaki before, it might take some time to get the hang of it. Although the cooking surface did not heat evenly, this was easily remedied. When the plastic instruments provided for turning the Takoyaki came into contact with the cooking surface, they melted, rendering them useless. Instead of toothpicks, you can use wooden yakitori sticks. If you want to reduce the heat, you must turn it off because it lacks a temperature control. This is one of the few units on the market that is electrically compatible with the US market's 120V/60Hz voltage.
We love Takoyaki, so we purchased this and are very pleased with it. Because we can control the portion sizes and level of browning because we cook it ourselves, the result is Takoyaki that is better than what you'd get in a restaurant and much better than what you'd get in a bento box. Other Takoyaki fillings (shrimp, ham/cheese, sausage, edamame, corn, jalapeos, and so on) are on the horizon.
The power button is higher on one side than the other, making it less noticeable than the previous unit (pic3). However, this unit's heating is a problem. The two holes where my fingers are placed (pic1) do not become hot until the other holes become extremely hot. They appear to be situated directly above the heating element's non-heating ends. It's a circular heating element with nothing between it and the plate to help evenly distribute the heat. The circle of heat is palpable. up to the bottom two's very edges I'd get a Takoyaki plate if I had a stove here, but this will have to suffice until I return home. I'm debating whether or not the sticks are worth trying. I shaved a pair of wooden chopsticks to roll the Takoyaki around because the first set arrived broken, allowing me to see the junky plastic inside. After a few batches, I'll update the review, but I'm not optimistic about this.
All I tried sticks to the surface, making it nearly impossible to turn content. One side burns, the other has a lower temperature. I've followed the directions, tried the recipes in the book, and created my own, but nothing has worked.
For ableskivers, this isn't the place to be.
It is a joy to use this appliance. The only thing I didn't like about the food turning tools were the plastic chopsticks that looked like they were made of plastic. They disintegrate and deform as a result of the melting process. Chopsticks that have been seasoned with wood are recommended.
The product is of poor quality. It was given back to us. It's preferable to have a heater that can be adjusted rather than relying on an on/off switch. It comes with a plastic chopstick, which is not suitable for use on a hot surface. Spend more money on a higher-quality item.
It's simple to make takoyaki with it. However, I'm not sure why it was designed that way because I couldn't separate the pan from the machine, making it extremely difficult to clean, and I couldn't switch to another pan.
