Questions & Answers

Did the babycakes multi-treat maker give off a burning odor?

Yes, there was a plastic smell and some smoke the first time I used it; the second time, there was still a burning smell but no smoke; I'm not sure how normal this is, but if it continues, I'll have to return it.

For this multi-treat baker, what size cupcake bake cup or liner should I use? Is it possible to simply purchase a liner that says "mini baking cup" on the package?

I had only purchased the mini liners when I decided to follow someone else's advice and not use one at all. They look fantastic without any liners!

What's the best way to clean the cookware?

They're a non-profit organization. stick. Warm, soapy water is all you need. I'm sure they'll hold up in a hot dishwasher as well.

Is it true that the cupcakes are mini? Are you looking for a smaller size or a larger one?

They're somewhere between a full and a mini size, measuring about 2 1/8 to 2 1/4 inches across the widest part. It's a good size for me or my 5-year-old to feel good about having two.

What a great present! The multi-purpose nature of the babycakes appeals to me
3/5

You can easily swap out the plates on the treat baker, which allows you to bake things faster without using the oven. There's also a good instruction manual and a few recipes included. The only thing I don't like about it is that I washed all of the plates before using it, and I've only used mine three times so far, and it emits a foul odor. I believe it stems from the fact that you can't clean the machine by submerging it in water. The taste of the treats does not appear to be affected, but the smell from the machine lingers for quite some time.

This mini treat maker has won my heart! Everything is in miniature form! I've only used it for donuts so far, but I'm already in love with it! br>br>I had to watch a youtube unboxing to figure out exactly what was in the package, but I'm satisfied
5/5

The unit is red and comes with three plate sets in total, for a total of six plates. The donuts are mini, the cupcakes are between mini and regular, and the cake pops are regular cake pop size, and all plates are non-stick. You wouldn't have to use non-stick if you used a sticky substance. If you don't want to use stick spray, don't. I used it on my first batch. br>br>I opened the unit to ensure that everything was in place and that it functioned properly. When I first turned it on, it smelled like it was burning, but it went away after a few minutes. Keep in mind that the entire unit, including the plates, gets extremely hot, so keep it away from other items. br>br>Included in the set is a recipe booklet that tells you how much dough/batter to use on the plates. The recipe calls for 1 tbsp for the donuts, but I found that I needed a little more to get a full-looking donut. The mini donuts were delicious and only took 5 minutes to bake. The cupcakes and cake pops are on my to-do list.

My 9-year-old daughter will be receiving this as a present
5/5

So simple to use, I assisted her the first time, and since then, she has been making them all by herself, and we now have cakes every day. br>She has made all three shapes, with the donuts being the most difficult. Vanilla, chocolate, and apple cider cupcakes, donuts, and baby cakes have all been created by her. br>She bought a decorating set to assist her in forming the dough into the desired shapes. br>We're all very happy, and we're looking forward to our morning treats.

It's very effective - Multiple Applications - Quite time consuming - It eliminates the need for a hot kitchen
4/5

I've been wanting one of these pop makers for a while, and this one is great because it has multiple trays that can be used to make pops, mini-pops, and other treats. mini-doughnuts or donuts cupcakes. I now consider it to be more of an entertainment device than a true baking machine. It's time-consuming, but it gets the job done. It's well-made, but I'm having trouble with the design. The cord is short, like most appliance cords these days, and it feeds from the left, which is awkward for me as a right-handed person with a left-side electrical outlet. Also, be careful not to burn your arms when you lift the lid to remove the finished pops because the hot steam is quite intense. On the outside, the top gets very hot, and you have to access the unit with a potholder because the lid is too hot to handle otherwise. I followed the instructions and lightly wiped the pop wells - upper as well as lower - Despite the fact that the trays are non-stick, they should be sprayed with vegetable oil to prevent sticking. stick. At first, I only needed to wipe the wells once while continuing to make another 6 dozen pops. The device is already set up. Heats up quickly and bakes the pops in a short amount of time - about 4- Each batch will take 5 minutes. Because the trays are so hot, I use a wooden stir stick to pop the pops out of the well and then use silicone tongs to transfer them to a cooling surface. Because the pops were too small to fit in my regular cooling tray, I used a sifter instead. The pops are very quick to cool down. To make nice round pops, I found that I needed to fill the wells about 3/4 full. Only the bottoms, however, appear to be round. I wasn't expecting the tops to have such a pointed appearance. Because this works so quickly, you must stay focused until all of your pops have emerged from the unit - As a result, the labor-intensive remark. You do not, however, need to prepare ahead of time. It's great that the unit can be heated for each batch. It's nice not to have the kitchen heat up from the large oven, but I could have done it all in one go with my regular pop pans in the oven. I'm afraid my icing experience is still a work in progress; you have to let the pops cool, then place them in the freezer for 15 minutes, heat your coating in the microwave, and then dip the pops on a stick in the coating, only to return them to the freezer to set. It was a sticky mess when I tried to make chocolate cake mix pops with German Chocolate frosting. I'm confident that with practice, the outcome will improve. If you spill some batter on the plates while filling the wells, don't try to wipe it clean while the batter is still liquid; instead, scrape it off with a wooden stir stick after you've finished harvesting that round of pops. To go with the chili, I'm going to try making cornbread pops. Overall, I like the unit, though processing batches of 12 pops at a time can be time consuming. I won't have to chill the donuts or cupcakes to insert pop sticks, so they should be much easier to make. This unit is a good buy in my opinion because it provides a lot of functionality for a reasonable price.

It was a big hit with my 11-year-old granddaughter
5/5

She makes her own doughnuts from scratch. It was a big hit with my 11-year-old granddaughter. She makes donuts from scratch, then cake pops, all by herself. I figured she'd enjoy the miniature cupcakes because she and her cousins enjoy making and decorating them. I was standing right next to her, keeping an eye on her while she prepared them, but I was too preoccupied with folding laundry to notice. The latch was easy to undo and worked perfectly. The plates went in smoothly and perfectly aligned. The donuts were cooked to perfection, and I had read the comments about people's problems and how they solved them. So far, I haven't needed the information! We had to cook them for a few minutes longer than the recipe called for, but we were able to open the latch, check, and close it again, allowing us to continue baking for another three minutes.

I opened this package right away, as it was a quick donut delivery
5/5

I've heard mostly positive reviews with a few negative ones thrown in for good measure. I had a lot of fun with my blueberry muffin mix. One box of Apple Cinnamon is included as well. (Jiffy mix) One box yielded about 21 mini donuts, and I didn't make any changes to the mix. They came out looking fantastic. There were a few that were out of whack when it came to alignment. But it's not a big deal. I happily devoured them. My husband and aunt sampled them as quickly as I made them. (As a result, the count may be off. ) When the machine was turned on, it emitted some smoke. For the most part, this is normal, and I did wash everything before using it. It heats up quickly and bakes the donuts in a short amount of time. So far, I'm quite pleased with it. It is simple to clean. There's a spot for you to wrap your cord, and I like that there are three different plates to choose from. It was well worth the extra money, in my opinion. One suggestion I have is to use a wide tip squeeze bottle to pour the batter into the machine, as this will make the job easier. Otherwise, each donut can be made with 1 tablespoon of batter.
