A great addition to any decor

It's hard to beat Wilton combs - they're great! The texture they add to buttercream is just perfect. In addition to creating great color stripes, you can also use the square comb (see illustration). Their durability (I've had them for a few months now) and easy care make them a great choice. I'm amazed at how tall they are! Tall cakes go perfectly with this! In the event that I needed to use a tall comb set for the 5 x 6" layers I used with the Wilton easy layers pans (I looked everywhere)

As a beginner, I am afraid to attempt to blend one line of the cake into another, since it makes a tall cake and many of the combs are only 4 to 5 inches high. I was extremely satisfied with their performance!.

It was a life saver for me to have these contour tools on hand, since I was decorating the cake three days after my shoulder dislocated

I held the comb in my right hand while I flipped the turn table with my left hand, which allowed me to decorate the cake in the desired way with the sling attached to my right arm. This prevented me from feeling pain with movement of my arm. The set was easy to use, I couldn't have done it without it.

There was a delivery problem

Goodness knows the product is fine, thank goodness, but the delivery is not what I had hoped for, it arrived around 915 p. m. At 24pm and it said it was given directly to the resident, which it was not, I found it soaked and soggy this morning at the gate, thank goodness it wasn't something electrical - we had a terrible storm last night and it would have definitely ruined the product. Among the many deliveries I have received, this is the very first time I have experienced a problem with the delivery! Placing it in a plastic bag could save you a lot of trouble next time!.

The cake would look great if it were tall and layered

I used these recently on a cake and they really stood out. The other combs I had were too short to reach the tops of three-layer cakes. They required me to align the comb multiple times before it would pass properly, The height is perfect for covering the whole side in a single sweep. I was pleased with the outcome of the cake! The next time I use them, I would like to be able to do so.

I found the product to be useful. The plastic was once dark green, but now it is pink after my use of a dark green icing that had black dye in it. In the future, I will probably purchase a stainless steel set. Beginners can use this to give their cakes an extra burst of color.
