Questions & Answers

Is this suitable for roast pork or chicken?

As long as the meat fits, I see no reason why not. When roasting meats or vegetables, USA Pan recommends using foil or a baking mat to line the pan.

What is the difference between this 9"x13" USA pan and the one with a quick release?

This pan appealed to me because it had handles that made lifting easier. I have yet to use it, but it has the same release coating as the other pan. I still spray the loaf pans I use in the United States when I bake bread. When I'm ready to use it, I'll spray the 9 x 13 pan. It's difficult to break out of old habits. Despite the fact that the cookie sheets are also quick release, I always bake my cookies on Silpat silicon baking mats. (And, for cookies, the baking time is one minute less than my AirBake cookie sheets, which I replaced with the USA product.)br>br>The biggest difference, in my opinion, is in the corners. The handle-equipped pan has rounded corners. The other pan has folded metal corners, which results in sharper and straighter corners in cakes and brownies. This would make the baked goods look more professional. br>br>As a tip, I wash my USA pans (no abrasives--no scrubbing--no scrubbing--no scrubbing--no scrubbing--no scrubbing Bon Ami, too! ), I drain the water and place the pan in a warm oven. I let the pans cool on the stove until the water has evaporated before storing them.

How can I clean it because it's darkening (browning) over time?

My ones haven't turned dark yet. Barkeeper's Friend in liquid form is a good choice. It is non-abrasive and will not harm the finish. I use this cleaner on all of my stainless, range top, enamel, porcelain, and antiques.br>If there is built up grease, soak in hot water and then scrub with the powdered Barkeeper's friend using a gentle nylon scrubby. br>Do you wash and dry your hands right away? I would also recommend that you set yours on edge to ensure that they are completely dry after drying. I never immerse my mind in water. I've never had to deal with anything like this before. I wouldn't do it unless there's a buildup of grease. It's possible that your water contains chlorine, which is causing it to turn dark.

Is a lid for the 9x13 pan available?

There is a lid on them. I don't see USA Pans on Amazon, so you'll have to buy it directly from them. They usually come in pairs, but if you email them, they will most likely sell you one.

Experienced Products made in the United States are my favorites
5/5

You must, however, look after them. You shouldn't put them in the dishwasher, and you should line the pans with parchment paper or aluminum foil. You might be wondering why you should bother when you already have a perfectly good pan surface. You're paying for the heat conductivity of the pan, among other things. Yes, you can just spray it and bake/cook in it, but just like anything else with a non-stick surface, you should treat it with care. If you cut with a sharp object on the stick surface, it will need to be replaced within a year. br>br>All you have to do is take good care of the pan and line it/don't cut in it with metal (instead, use silicon).

Pans are very nice
5/5

I'll be using these pans to replace some stoneware pieces that have been burning my baked goods. This brand came highly recommended by a friend, and when I went shopping this past weekend at a big box store, I got a two-pack of baking sheets for the price of one. The high quality of those sheets persuaded me to add these three extra items to my order. I can't wait to put them to work. They are both heavy and non-heavy. The ability to stick to surfaces is a big plus. The bad news comes next: As you can see in the photo, I didn't like the way they were packaged. The bottom of the loaf pan has been scratched. See pic. When you spend a lot of money on something that is 1: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, as well as 2: Because they are poorly packed, I DO NOT EXPECT to hear them clanging, banging, or scratching each other's surface! ENTIRELY INTOLERABLE! Although I understand the need to keep costs low and the environment in mind, adding a few more squares of bubble wrap or air packs to cushion and separate the items would have been the best option.

It bakes evenly every time and doesn't stick to the pan. And it's incredibly simple to maintain.

Excellent craftsmanship
5/5

This isn't the first time I've traveled to the United States. I'm replacing items in my kitchen with products from the United States because I need to replace them. They're long-lasting and simple to maintain.

The new pan is in good shipping condition
3/5

My pan had multiple scratches, dents, and was already warped when it arrived. It doesn't sit flat on my counter either. I'm not sure if it was because of the distributor's packaging, but my other USA pan arrived with some padding around it (see photos) and is in good condition. I'm not sure why the distributor would package metal on top of metal without any sort of protection. I would have expected more for nearly $20 per pan. If you don't have the time to deal with returns and exchanges, I wouldn't recommend it. We are stationed overseas, so I won't be able to exchange my pan before the event for which I had hoped to use it.

Expectations were exceeded! We are very pleased with this product after more than a dozen uses; it is heavy, has excellent heat distribution, and almost cleans itself

br>At first, I was skeptical, but I've come to the conclusion that the higher-than-average price is well worth it; highly recommended!.

The best skillet I've ever used
5/5

I was looking for a non-rusting pan, but no matter how much money I put into it, I've had nothing but bad luck. So far, this skillet has performed admirably. Cleaning is a breeze. I was skeptical when it said not to use spray on it. But so far, nothing has stayed with me. I'm very pleased with my purchase and plan to buy more pans from this line in the future.

After 5 months of light residential use, the metal has started to rust
3/5

I thought I was saving money by purchasing a "professional" baking pan that would last a lifetime because we would only be using it at home. br>br>I'd say it's been used about 12 times. Run through a standard home dishwasher 24 times over the course of 5 months. br>br>Rusting is a term used to describe the process of something becoming rusted. We've clearly passed the point of no return. Will be discarded in the near future.
