I am searching for ways to make my own French bread because my kids love it so much, but we often have problems with it drying out before they finish it. I have tried baking bread myself in the past and they came out soft on the bottom but well done on top, or even overcooked on the top and crisp on the bottom. I tried these trays, and I was very impressed, for once I got good bread done on both sides.
