Questions & Answers

The product looks like it is made of borosilicate glass, but is it really? As long as it is made in China, it seems like it is not made of borosilicate glass. ?

I find your answers interesting. This item is made of borosilicate glass and is reported on their website as being among the best sellers You can go from the freezer to the This product is either not manufactured to OXO specs or their glass is not of the quality they require. The price is not attractive now, so I do not think I will purchase it. What I miss most about the good old days is- Pyrex glass was made in a reliable manner. It isn't possible to make things right anymore, so why is that?

Is the lid a light or dark color Would you rather have a mint green or turquoise blue room?

I had a mint green one

Does the glass have a green tint or is it ?

I broke my arm in half and cut it This is an extremely dangerous set of pans because they're very poor in quality
3/5

As a result, I never put them in fast temperature changes, permitted them to come in contact with moisture when hot, or placed them directly on the countertop when However, even these precautions did not suffice since yesterday, when I attempted to put away this pan after it had been hand washed and dried, I damaged my arm when it cracked in half. I was taken to the ER for 9 stitches after the wound required a trip to the ER. In the long run, using a higher quality pan will save you money by reducing the risk of emergency room visits and avoiding medical bills. It is a buyer's market.

Despite being lightly used for a couple of months, it breaks after only a few months
3/5

A product that had only been used lightly or averagely for two months broke. The product broke into very sharp edges that would be extremely dangerous to hold if it were broken while someone was holding it. I can say without hesitation that I am disappointed in this product and will not purchase.

No explanation is given for the break
3/5

I think this lasted a couple of weeks. We couldn't figure out why it split in half one day when it was washing. Neither the temperature nor anything else changed drastically. I was in one piece one moment and then I was split down the middle the next. This is the first time that something like this has happened to any of my other borosilicate glass cookware.

Thermal stress is too much for it
3/5

Please do not spend your money on this product. We have purchased two of these baking dishes now and they are not able to handle any sort of heat During the cooling process, they both broke when taken out of the oven.

A shard of glass shattered in midair! Don't forget to be The bride and groom loved it and we did too
3/5

It is very frequently used by us. I suffered a severe injury after the glass that covered my wedding shattered in my hand about a year after the wedding. As I had taken it out of the cabinet and was about to use it for dinner, there was no weird temperature change and I did not drop it either. Oxo is a brand my husband and I both trust, so I bought another one in case this was a mistake. However, you should take care with it! Our conclusion will be that it was just poor workmanship if this one breaks too.

This cover has a vented top
3/5

WHAT'S the reason? At first I was so excited to discover this product, but then I tried it and was disappointed. As a start, let me say that the product was not defective, but there was an issue with the design, in my opinion. For me, it was an easy way for me to store pies and quiches in the refrigerator. My expectation was that that would have been a Tupperware type of thing. Top of the lid is a large vent hole with four large holes. The cover is almost like one for a microwave. This would be great if they wanted the lid to be able to vent just in case you ever needed to re-install Then, you can fill your quiches, etc. with something that you can twist over any holes so that it can be kept in the fridge. By doing this, you can keep food fresh without allowing air to get It would have been easier if I had known about the vents, since I would not have wasted time or money wasting without a vent. We are sorry for the inconvenience,.

Tonight was the first time I used it and it worked as expected
5/5

Because I was unaware of the one star reviews before ordering the glass, I nearly sat on my hands when I read those. A glass containing 400 degrees of temperature was in contact with the heat for about 35 minutes without breaking. My oven was filled with glass as the glass expected to explode inside, and I was also anticipating criticism from others in the kitchen who shared the space with me. Despite all of these problems, my glassware is in perfect condition. A baking sheet was placed over the glass, and I managed to bake some chicken successfully. The one's I'm looking at won't make sense to me The stars were up to, but just because this type of glass could handle high temperatures, doesn't mean it's not a I guess you have to handle it with care?.

The material is nontoxic, durable, and can be reheated without harm
5/5

There is nothing I love more than this glass bakeware I bought this set as soon as I moved into my apartment, switching from plastic Tupperware and nonstick metal bake ware to a set that is nontoxic, recyclable and environmentally friendly. It's nice knowing that when taking food from the freezer to the microwave, there is no chemical leaching into the food, and the cakes, pies, and brownies don't have anything to worry about being covered in Teflon. Due to the fact that they are all made of glass, except for the lids, they are easily recyclable. Keeping leftovers fresh for longer is made possible by the stainless steel lids on the food storage containers. It is a great product! I highly recommend it!.
