There is no need to add adhesive to the tabs. They come with sticky glue on each side so you can close the blind around them. Pressing the tab and not hanging the blind immediately is the way I hang it. You can also add Scotch tape to the tab for an additional layer of security.

As well, I found that it was best to bend the repair tab and remove the holes from the paper backing It is important to place the repair tab flush with the end of the blind in order for the slat to fit properly back into the hanger stem. It was important to rub the tab on both sides of the slat after it was applied, to ensure that it would adhere, and to put some books on top of that portion (on the floor) for a while to ensure that it would become permanently attached. It took me seven slats and they are all still standing! This is much better than my attempts to fix the slats with duct tape.
It doesn't take long for them to dry out. It took three weeks for the stickiness to wear off, so the blinds began to fall. My attempt to follow the instructions to the T did not result in It would be better to use packing tape. The thing I just described is what I will never buy again or anything similar.
It's great to be able to use such a product. Install was a little difficult because it broke in two at the seam, but I had extras to replace it.
Despite the fact that vertical blinds are the bane of my existence as an apartment dweller, these help make life much easier and save me from calling management often.
For the tape to stay on, I had to use strong packing tape. Once I had placed the slat in the blind railing, I could close the blind.
The product is great and works well. As I have an almost two year old, she loves to play with and pull on the blinds, so those are mostly gone. The Amazon seller gave a discount for this item, so I decided this was a good alternative to replacing the entire piece. The repair tabs were thick and strong, not thin and flimsy. The package arrived on time. I have so far had no problem with them handling my toddler's abuse, and they are almost invisible in the open. It was a very good purchase and I would highly recommend it.
Slats broken by this product can easily be repaired. The interface is simple and easy to operate. You'd be better off with the other brand, since this brand cannot be returned for a reasonable amount.
It worked perfectly with the tabs. The same as when you bought it.
