a general impression I purchased a total of seven of these blinds, each measuring 39x64 inches. I'm quite pleased with how they appear. If you're a snob, however, there are a few details that might influence your decision. These blinds are probably not for you if you are an obsessive-compulsive perfectionist. 1. br>br> The color is a soft white, and because they are a natural product, the reeds are of varying sizes, allowing plenty of light to pass through. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br The headers/flaps are different lengths, so I'll glue up one hem to make it match—a simple fix. Only one of the seven is significantly longer than the others. The rest are within a quarter-inch of one another. Again, this is a natural product, so it isn't perfect. br>br>3. One of the blinds is droopy on one side, so I'll just swap it out for another. They all do an excellent job of gently pulling and pushing up and down. You must reach beneath the bar to grab it, but once you've done it a few times, you'll understand how it works. 4. br>br> The majority of the installation was done by a single person. He only needed an extra hand to hold the blind/flap in place while he screwed the wing nuts on. I warned him about the screws stripping/shearing reviews, so he predrilled holes in a few places. Surprisingly, the blinds were quite heavy. 5. br>br> On the valance of one blind, there were some ripped stitches (see photo). But it blends in, and I'm thinking about switching places in this one as well. 6. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> You can see right through the blinds if you look at them from the outside in. These are not blackout or privacy blinds. It's more akin to a sheer with a lot of patterns. 7. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> A few of the blinds have a gap at the top where the mounting wood piece can be seen (as shown in the photo). Window mounts are located at eye level in five of the seven cases. I'm going to use a white paint marker and blend it in—it'll be simple enough. br>br>I wish these were available in a larger size so that my picture window would blend in with the rest of the house. For a 75" blind, I had to go to a different company. br>br>Aside from that, I like these blinds a lot. Because they're a natural product, they'll have flaws, but they'll be easy to fix. I'd buy them again if the opportunity presented itself.
These look great, but we ended up drilling through the top and using long screws to hold them in place. Working with the brackets is a chore. br>br>There is still visibility into the house when the lights are turned off and the shade is drawn down. I blighted solely for the sake of appearances.
The mounting hardware was terrible, but the shades are nice. One screw was broken when it arrived, and two more snapped off during installation (pilot holes were drilled, so I wasn't rough on these screws). Fortunately, I had some better screws on hand, but the ones that snapped off in the middle of the installation meant that those holes were now filled with faulty screws with no heads. I'd have to either relocate the shade or use fewer screws to keep it in place. The shades aren't particularly heavy, but if the heads break off during installation, I'm not sure I'll be comfortable with them holding the shades up, especially since you have to pull on them to raise and lower them. I'd give it one star based on my initial frustration with the installation, but I bumped it up after taking a break from it because they do look nice; the color is more of a white wash than a solid white (you can see a hint of light, warm wood tone peeking through), but I think that looks better, honestly. Solid white would merely appear to be low-cost plastic. The fact that they are cordless (just pull on the lift to adjust) is also appealing.
They arrived this morning after I ordered them two days ago. It was a breeze to put them up, and they look fantastic! They provide excellent shade, but they do not completely block the sun. BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL, BE.
The installation of these lovely shades was a breeze. I chose the outside mount because it gives my large window a more spacious appearance. I have a beautiful view of the trees behind my building and didn't want to sacrifice it by using standard blinds. I like how transparent they are during the day without requiring me to raise the shades. Even at night, there's plenty of privacy. It's beautiful on the outside, but it's also useful for keeping the room cool. My bedroom now has a truly soothing tropical feel to it. If these are something you're thinking about, go for it!.
I like the look of these, and they're relatively easy to put up, but they're heavy and far more delicate / fragile than a standard cordless window shade. I placed an order for two in May 2020, and one of them just broke today (mid-June). January of the following year). I'd like to replace it, but for some inexplicable reason, the cost has nearly doubled (? They were previously priced at USD$46; Isn't it $72 now? I'm hoping to get a replacement for the same price as the original. br>br>I raise and lower mine almost every day, five days a week, and I take great care. However, after noticing that one of the shades was a little crooked when raised, I went to lower it. It refused to move. I attempted to loosen the tension by raising it higher and then pulling it down, but the cord snapped on the left side.
However, I was able to install them on my own, and they looked fantastic once they were up! Because there are no cords, it is also extremely safe to use with children in the house.
It comes with very basic hardware that can be installed with just a screwdriver and a drill. They shield you from the sun and the gaze of your neighbors while allowing you to see outside, so you don't feel hemmed in. Buy three of these and one of them under the option like new and one of them was missing one of the hardware, I recommend how to always stay new for some unknown reason Amazon repackages the item and does not verify that all of the components tie it, I recommend how to always stay new for some unknown reason Amazon repackages the item and does not verify that all of the components tie it, I recommend how to always stay new for some unknown reason Amazon repackages the item and does not verify that all of the components.
